Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

That is disappointing, thank you for sharing.

It's amazing how different that is from Disneyland. The MEP's at Disneyland are like a golden ticket. Having done two recent trips to Disneyland, I have to say the LL system there is so much simpler and functions better!

I'm still getting my head wrapped around LLMP strategy for an upcoming WDW trip.
If you’re referring to accelerating, a Tier 1 MEP was like having a magic ticket especially if you also had park hoppers.

Sadly, I heard that feature went away with the latest lightening lane update.

It did. I’ll miss it for sure. There were a few times where I got all of HS done in the morning with LL, sometimes arriving 5-6 hours early for reservations and having the system take those instead of the MEP.

Yes, RIP LL acceleration! It was magical at DLR while it lasted. The system still works really well there just with stacking and modifying return times, but not as amazing as the golden ticket acceleration.

This may already be known or have been discussed, but we just got back from our trip and I thought I would share this tip. On the day we had a LL for Tiana, it went down for a while, and so we were given the "anytime" (or whatever it's called) LL. We redeemed this "anytime" LL as our first one of the day, and then tried to book another LL in Epcot but it wouldn't let us. We went to the blue umbrella and they told us that redeeming the anytime LL is not the same as redeeming a regular LL and does not open up the opportunity to book another. Hope this helps!
Thanks for reporting your recent experience.

Yes we have already had reports of this situation. You received a Multi Experience Pass (MEP) some guests refer to it as a MEP redemption pass. A MEP does not replace a LLMP and/or LLSP but is offered as an alternative option. It often has restrictions listed on the MEP listing which attractions it is redeemable at when you press the pass. Once redeemed it can't be replaced by another LLMP selection.

The Guest Experience Team (GET) CM should have told you that you are able to book a replacement for your TEA tier 1 LLMP in MK but you can't make selections for other parks. You are still required to tap into a regular LLMP selection to unlock Tiers and Multi Park LLMP selections.

Confused about how single pass works.

So when I am 7 days out, I can book 3 single passes for me and my party member, I get that.

One of our days we plan on hopping between Epcot and Hollywood.

So I’d like to have a single pass for guardians and rise on that day.

So let’s say my schedule is magic kingdom Monday, Epcot/hs Tuesday and animal kingdom wednesday.

7 days, out I book 1 single pass ride for us at each park (and let’s say it was guardians on tuesday).

If I wanted to buy additional single pass for Rise on that same tuesday, when would I be able to purchase that? Day off at a certain time?

SP operates on one very simple rule: you can book a maximum of 2 per day, and they can’t be the same ride twice. That’s it. You can book Guardians and Rise for the same day, but you can’t book Rise twice on the same day.

The three rides pre booking limit is for Multipass LL, not SP.

Thanks, got confused by an incorrectly worded blog. So on Tuesday for that hop day, at 7 days out I can technically have 5 “passes”. 1 single pass at Epcot, 1 single pass for Hollywood, and 3 multi lane passes.

Yep! For instance on 9/20 we are rope dropping MK and spending the morning there before hopping to HS that evening. I booked Tron and Rise for SP and Tiana, Mansion, and Mad Tea Party at MK. SP isnt restricted like MP as far as where you can prebook, you can prebook for 2 different parks. You just can’t book more than 2 of them in a single day. Like if we decide to go to Epcot after HS I couldn’t book Guardians even day of, because I already got my 2 SPs for the day. I would only be able to modify Rise into it, but I would eat the cost difference between them.

Has anyone paid for their LL with gift cards? Any cons to this? Once I have times are those mine or if I don't pay fast enough, they can change?

I bought my passes this morning and had no issues at all. I’m so relieved. However, I will say I’m glad it’s just me and my DH going (our children are adults). Paying all that per day with a family of four or more would really hurt.
I hear you! We are paying for 6 in February for 8 days ....between LLMP and LLSP, I am budgeting an extra $1500 for something that used to be free LOL (gotta laugh or cry - may as well laugh)

There were a couple of reports when LLMP and/or LLSP were first available on July 24th when some DIS members posted that they could not put the full amount on their Gift Card (GC). They had to put a Penny ($0.01) on another form of payment. There have not been any reported issues with GC recently just make sure you save the GC number on your smartphone to paste into the payment field to save time.

As @traveler9 posted your LLMP and/or LLSP selections are held for 5 minutes to allow you to modify your selected times and complete the purchase.

I was able to use the gift card for the full amount and I didn't have to put anything on a different payment. You do have to click at the bottom to remove other payment options if you have a CC saved to your account.

I thought the LLMP was well worth the price, for all parks. For me, anything to avoid standing in a long line. The trick for me was to book the initial three kind of close together geographically and slightly overlapping timewise so you can run a continual stack of 3, I would book my next one while in line for the ride I used the last one on. Universal's express pass is vastly better but it's also vastly more expensive. Even in MK where I used my Tier 1 to book Tiana's and the only slot available was at the end of my day, I made very good use of the other two rotating slots.

Thanks for confirming Gift Card payments are working correctly. Did you have any issues with the availability of LLMP and/or LLSP attraction times when you booked?

Thank you for asking. I was able to modify some. It kept giving an option for 905 but when I click it, it gives me 430, I hit modify and then it gives me 955. After trying to get the 905 about 10 times, I just gave up and took the 955. I don't have anything else scheduled until 205, including dining, so I don't know why it won't let me have the 905 but we'll make it work. This is for HS, just FYI.

Was this while you were in the 5 minute window or after your purchase?

Normally it should offer you a specific time and then you click to change it and you should get the screen with the bubbles showing all available times for that attraction.

It's after I purchased my LL. Now it gives me a 910 on the first screen, but still changes it to 4pm when I click modify

We redeemed this "anytime" LL as our first one of the day,
? So...

U used the anytime one on another attraction

& then u we're blocked out of booking any additional tier 1 the rest of the day?

Makes no sense IMO

The only Disney system I could figure out. Used in Aug @ DL. Between Indy, BTM & Roger R going down so often, had leftover entitlements several days lol
