Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

Does that mean the return time was already booked?
No that normally means a general MDE LL error occurred. You might have lost Wi-Fi connection as it was attempt the hold the selection. Is this an ongoing error?

Have you tried just cancelling your Pixar Short and booking a new LLMP Selection in Epcot for Remy vs using the Modify?

I doubt its a wifi issue, everything working fine before and after that issue when booking LL.
Was trying to modify an existing Epcot to bypass the select your party addition.

For AP and un-dated Tickets you will still need a Park reservation for your First park. Make your Park reservations before you try to purchase your LLMP and/or LLSP selections.

Dave, seems like you know what you are talking about so I'll run my scenario by you: Resort stay, 5 guests, 1 with AP 4 with date based parkhoppers. Would like to use early entry at AK to knock out a few headliners in the first 2 hours then hop to HS. Don't think I need LLMP at AK so I would love to make LLMPs for HS, ideally late morning to midday. Will it let me make those for the park I am not starting at? I know I can make LLSP for any park but wasnt sure about LLMP. Im fine with paying the HS "rate" for LLMP for the day. Not trying to pay the cheaper AK rate and then book HS. Should I make AP park reservation for HS in order to make LLMPs then change park res to start at AK sometime after I've made selections 7 days out? Any advice would be appreciated.

We have a party of 12, 3 families of 4. Are we better off having 1 person book everyone's or each book our own LLMP at 7am, 7 days out? Or does it matter?

one person should prebook thge LLs.

However, on the day of your park visit, if you find that booking additional LLs are hard to do, look to split the party/bookings. Then ask the blue umbrella cast members and maybe the attraction cast members to sync them together.

So if we have 1 person do them all, then only that person can modify? Or book additional?

Update
So trying different ways to refresh LL attractions that are unavailable.

In today’s scenario the attraction is Big Thunder Mountain. Was refreshing the screen until I go to the part where you can select your party…

When the return time is no longer available the screen will refresh and go back to the same Select a Party screen. Keep selecting Continue on this screen and when the return time is available it will go the confirmation screen. No need to back completely out.

Doing this avoids having to Select a Party again. Giving you a better chance to book the next LL.

Yes as long as you have a Park reservation at any park then you can select times for your LLMP and/or LLSP before 2 PM. If you have an AP and don't make a park reservation then it will only show you times after 2 PM at any park.

It does not matter when booking it is only "required" when you try to enter your first park of the day. That's when the park reservation should match the park you plan to enter first.

Note: as a reminder you can't unlock your Tiers and multi park selection ability until you tap into your first LLMP selection. In your example you will need to tap into your first LLMP at HS to unlock multi park capabilities.

It really depends on the skill set of members of your party. If you have a couple of individuals that are good with MDE then you can just setup your 3 families in Friends & Family and then split your number of days to purchase 7 days in advance for your initial LLMP and/or LLSP between 2 or more individuals to make sure you get your high priority selections.

This will reduce the size of the charges for each person booking LLMP and/or LLSP during your initial purchases. How many days are you planning to book for LLMP and/or LLSP?

Once you are at a park if you are planing to move as a group then you should have one person focus on making the next LLMP selections for convenience and to keep LLMP selections in sync.

ETA: add missing words... to my thoughts...

Thanks for the reply Dave. I had considered booking LLMPs at AK, tapping in to the first one early then modifying the rest. However, in that scenario, I would be competing with all the day-of bookings and figured I wouldn't have much of a chance at Slinky and probably no early return times for some others. So I think I'd rather roll the dice on getting to HS by 10 or 10:30 and tapping into my first ride to hopefully unlock at least 1 or 2 more possible attractions for later. So when my booking window opens, will all attractions be open to book or will I have to select the park first, then be able to book from the list at that park?

Have you practiced using MDE to purchase LLMP and/or LLSP?

You can do it now by navigating to the "Main" screen. 3 horizontal lines (Hamburger Menu) on the bottom right of all screens. Then just Click on the LL Multi Pass Tile "Purchase" button.

It will display a rolling 21 day calendar. Just Click on any Day that is "Blue" and you will see how to start the purchase step(s). The Day will be displayed and you can Select from the parks. In your case you would Click on "Disney's Hollywood Studios. And the Toggle will open showing LLMP and a LLSP for RotR. You can also open another park and select a LLSP to add it to your purchase process. Scroll down and Press "Continue" to see the next step.

It should stop here if you don't have any valid Ticket Entitlements for any members of your Group....

ETA: Finish the steps to get to the Select Group members / check ticket status...

Okay, feeling like an idiot today. It's my 7-day mark, I thought I understood everything about LLMP and got up early to make sure I was online at 7:00am EST. Problem: I COMPLETELY overlooked that LLMP is only available through myDisneyExperience app. I was trying to purchase/book through the myDisneyExperience page on my computer. Looked for 6-7 minutes in increasing frustration only to try it on my phone and purchase there. By then, I had already missed the best times for the hard-to-get rides. Hoping a "good time" or two will open up before our trip. Ugh. Newbie mistake. :)

Keep looking and modifying. Some you wont be able to, but others you can tweek. We made our selections Sunday and i still see decent things for next week. If you keep seeing an early time for some things its probably available but you may have a tier 2 in the way and if that tier 2 has other times thatll fit, if you get rid of it you can fill that earlier slot and then go re-add the tier 2. Use thrill data availability chart mentioned previously here to see the real deal on return times availability. Example for todays 7 plus 3 day MK Tiana still shows an 11:10 and the next day it gets better in the 9 oclock hours. Some tier 2s may be interchangeable so grab an earlier one that you can scan innand modify to anything for that easier day of availability.
Also. Some have reported morning of before park opening they are able to modify existing ones to better return times

Say you book your three LLs, then you scan in at your first LL, which is Group 2. Can you then search for and book a Group 1 LL, meaning you have two Group 1 LLs at the same time?

Strategy when visiting multiple parks during your multi-day visit.

Do not choose MK as your first day. Easier to get the LLs you want.
AK is the best choice as your first. Easiest park to get LL for.
HS and Epcot can be first but better if they are not. Slinky and Rise can be hard to book the earlier return times.

you really don't need LLMP at AK in september (i'd argue you don't really need it anywhere but MK for tiana, but YMMV).

though i guess it could be fun to truly rip through LLs at AK as few ppl seemed to be using it there. you may wind up criss crossing the park a lot more though. and it's super cheap if you intent to hop and stack rides at another park.

I bought LLMP for AK last week, because it was my arrival day and I wasn't going to be there early enough to rope drop. Got there around 10ish, tapped in to my first ride and then started booking for MK. Wasn't trying for Tiana because I didn't want to get wet, but I was very pleased with the amount of rides I got.
