Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

For laughs, I just checked LL availability. Not bad - it's about 2PM and there are spots left (some later than others, of course) for just about every ride across the parks. Only things I see sold out are GotG, SDD and Remy (TBA is down, but I assume that'd be booked solid as well). Rise, FOP, SDD and Tron all still have LLSP available.

Augurs well for our trip in a few weeks.
I've been here since Saturday and had no issues getting LL later in the day either. Lines overall haven't been terrible.
Didn't go into the parks this morning because it was raining sideways and didn't feel like getting soaked. I'm working in my room now and heading to AK around 3:30. I was able to adjust my previous LLs to later in the day with no issue. Looks like EE has been down most of the day due to the storm, which makes sense. Frozen has also been down too.
I'm hoping to do DEH at Epcot tonight.

You think it's because it's summer that there's been more LL available or maybe that Disney heard complaints and added more availability? I would think it'd be a mix of both.

sorry for the stupid question, but are we getting a pinned official thread for MPLL like we had for genie plus with step by step use and FAQ for mortals like us?? lol. I few this thread is helpful but all the info is scattered around . thanks!

Not comparable. They had a tornado warning this morning & stormy weather was expected. The last couple days reports have been low crowd levels due to potential Debby effects, not unusual when weather is whipping up trouble.

Yes, we are getting that thread! The moderators have promised it - and they are hard at work gathering information and assembling it and will post it ASAP.

Agree - I wouldn't take what we've seen the last few days as norm. The storms and torrential downpours are impacting times. Lots of cancelled trips and locals are staying away.

My 7 days was today but I was not able to get Tiana's availability until 16th Aug, all dates before this showed 'unavailable' and the earliest time was 12.35 which is bit later than I had hoped but excited to ride it nonetheless.

I wonder if MNSSHP played into it at all. The 16th is a party day so more people may have been trying for the preceeding days than usual.

I have two questions that I have not seen yet but I also haven't read every page.

1. Is the 2 hour time limit gone with the new system?
2. Do you have to wait to book another LL until after your 3 pre-book have been used or can you book a new one after you use 1.

1. Yes, hooray!

2. Use one, book one - you can keep 3 booked continuously.

Stormy weather in August? You don't say :-)

As a weather nerd, I actually looked at the conditions in Orlando before I posted. Didn't seem that unusual for this time of year. Surprisingly, tomorrow shows 0% chance of rain in the afternoon, for what that's worth, as in that area in late summer predicting precipitation is a mug's game. Which is why I don't think, save for locals (and how may of those pre-book LLMPs) the weather affects attendance that much. I guess people may cancel a trip based on a forecast, but given how labile the weather is in Florida I never would.

Besides, my point was this data bodes well for our trip in a couple weeks, when the weather will most likely be quite similar. That is, hurricane season, good chance of thunderstorms every afternoon, and more humid than the Amazon.

You're from the Canada IIRC, in general when a hurricane is expected to make landfall it does impact things. From flight cancellations to people opting to not go down to that area.

Under normal conditions storms affect crowds when it's more an all-day thing. But with a hurricane (now downgraded to a tropical storm) over FL it should be considered for contextual understanding of how things are going on in the parks because there's a lot more interacting with things.

If you want more information on the actual hurricane impacts (in case your trip has one) check out national hurricane center.

I’m sure this has been asked - am I refunded if I purchase Multi LL and end up not going to park that day?

Is this possible-my husband and I both book LLMP. We both pick Jungle Cruise. He goes on, and I don't. Can he then, take my phone, and go on again?

My husband & I have done this with MBs for rides like Mine Train, Slinky Dog etc. before when it was Genie+ & paid LL. He likes thrill rides, I don’t , never had a problem.

Just making sure I am correct. If my check in day is on a Sunday, then my day to select LLMP would be the previous Sunday at 7 am EST?

Yeah... the bad weather already passed by that hour, flights were already cancelled, people had already left early and locals had already made the don't go call. Glad you're happy with the data comparison of today to a couple weeks from now but I'm still holding with it is not comparable. This weekend was not simply a "stormy day in Aug", just ask the folks with the cancelled flights and rescheduled trips in the tropical depression thread :(

Not disputing that people from out of town may have changed their plans - I guess I'm am a little surprised though, as anyone familiar with the weather there this time of year (we go in the middle of hurricane season every year) would book knowing the potential for storms, but also knowing there's always a good chance you might not get affected at all.

The one time we were there when there was a named hurricane in the area it ended up stalling about 100 miles off the coast, and as such sucked all the moisture away from Central Florida. We spent a week in Orlando at the end of August and it didn't rain once. The downside was the clear skies meant the pavement in Epcot was hotter than the surface of the sun.

Weather comparability aside, attendance also declines throughout this month as more and more American kids go back to school, so I remain optimistic.
