We love Le Cellier and are eating there in 2 weeks. I don't like mushrooms at all. Last year I had another type of steak that was just not as good as the filet. Can I order plain filet and potatoes instead of mushroom filet and mushroom risotto ? I'm ok if the mushrooms are something I can pick out although for the price I prefer to get what I want.

I can't stand mushrooms either and I have been able to get the filet without the sauce and substituted their (awesome!) cream cheese mashed potatoes for the risotto. No problem for me our last few trips :thumbsup2

I don't like mushrooms either, i just ask for it without the mushrooms/sauce (plain) and they are perfectly fine with that. It is soo yummy. It is one of my favorite restaurants (i haven't tried any of the signature steak places) But to answer your question... go for the filet and ask for it plain they will have no problems doing that. and I also do the potatoes instead of the risotto..they are very accomodating

this thing is so slow lately, when i first started typing there were no other comments. I am not a slow typer, this is just taking forever to load

wow this is slow what happened?

Anyway I love the muchrooms but is only a topping so you can order it without.

Can I recommend that you ask for the sauce on the side in a cup? They will do that. It really is worth trying one piece with the sauce. It does not taste like mushroom at all. (unless you are allergic)

My dh,dd don't like mushrooms and they liked the sauce. It's a white truffle butter sauce with just a few mushrooms in it, but doesn't have a mushroom flavor. My dd orders the filet with mash, and sauce on the side.

I've done this before, too.

had the mushroom fllet last week. best meal of our trip. if you don't with it as offered, then i'd suggest the sauce on the side as mentioned.

i was wondering the same thing i am highly allergic to mushrooms and thought i was going to have to avoid this restaurant but thanks to you guys looks like this will be added to my ADRS

THANK YOU OP! :worship:

I LOVE Mushrooms... however I was 'bummed' about the risotto... as I would MUCH prefer the cream cheese potatoes.... however...

THANKS to your post... I know I can request the change...

I will be there next Thursday night... (((HUGS)))

I don't like anything that has to do with mushrooms or risotto. I asked for the filet plain with mashed potatoes. Then, to be brave, I asked for the mushroom sauce on the side. That way I could try it but if I disliked it, I didn't have to contaminate my steak. :rotfl: I have to say, it was actually, pretty good.
