Places to eat near Prudential Center, NJ?

HI everyone:

DD and I are going to see a show at the NJ Prudential Center this week. We are going with a friend of her's who is celebrating her birthday. I would like to go somewhere to eat by the arena that would be fun for 2 10 year old girls and for the 2 mom's before the show.

any thoughts of suggestions?

I went to college around there and have gone to a few shows at "The Rock" since they opened, so I speak from experience. The atmosphere around the Prudential Center ranges from a little seedy to downright dangerous. Trust me, you don't want to be wandering around if you don't know the area.

Eat somewhere around home, or at one of the concessions in the arena. There are lots of good Spanish/Portuguese restaurants in Newark, but if you're not familiar with the area, I wouldn't recommend exploring.
