Hi all,
Just one more questions and thanks again for your help! I'm staying at the DL but I'd like to look around and spend some time at the GC; is there a place in the lobby or some other interesting area that I can do work in, do you know? I'll have my tablet with me, so I just want to know if there are readily available charging ports somewhere. Thank you so much again,
Patrick

On the third floor there is a little alcove of a lobby. It has two couch areas and a few little desks and there are charging stations because I did see someone working there last time

There is also a dedicated Club 33 desk. I dream of walking up to it and asking how I can make a dinner reservation. 🤣🤣🤣
Or even just walking up to it just to oooh and ahhh at it

Do you mean there's a concierge for Club 33 members in the GCH?

Exactly. Spaced the proper name of which to call it!
Interesting. Never knew that, but it makes sense, given that club members are entitled to a number of perks that go beyond making meal reservations (which they can do from anywhere by phone or maybe online).

I think the little area on the 3rd floor would be your best bet. The main lobby is super chaotic most of the time.

Here's a picture of the area on the 3rd floor (not sure when it was taken, I just found it online.)

This is exactly what I need, thank you so much! And boy do I wish I could get into Club 33 too!

If you are not staying at the GCH, you may not be able to access that area. We stay there every year, and this year (Labor Day weekend), we were asked for the first time to show our room keys to be allowed on the elevators. Others on these boards have reported the same thing in recent months. You can enter the main lobby without a room key, but you may not be able to access the other floors without one.

Ok, thank you for letting me know! That’s no problem, as long as there is a space in the main lobby that will work fine for me. I’m not worried about the lobby noise, I work on kind of busy places all the time. Is it only elevator access to the third floor?

Oh, I think I misread and assumed the OP was actually staying at the Grand.

I think that is correct and they have not been letting people up without showing a key.

Yes, I’m at DLH! But it sounds like the main lobby is open to everyone?
