Places for "IN PARKK BREAKS" in each of the parks?

We are staying off site with my parents and our 4 kinds this year the week between Christmas and New Years. I am lookig for recommendations of where to talk "breaks" instead of leaving-either lunch then a show or a good spot to sit and watch something-any suggestions would be appreciated.

Some nice places are:

MK -
Tom Sawyer's Island - quiet and has benches to relax on
Hall of Presidents - 20 minute show, dark in theater
theater on Main Street - quiet, can watch cartoons

Epcot -
American Adventure
the Land - both the ride and movie and slow and quiet

MGM
Beauty and the Beast
Fantasmic - can sit up to 2 hours beforehand
Indiana Jones
Muppetvision 3 D

Animal Kingdom -
Lion King
Tarzan Rocks
Grandmother Willow's stations


These are just places that I can think of that have seats and that are usually a good place to be able to sit and relax for a little while

oops-that should read 4 "kids" not "kinds"-LOL! I guess they are each their own kind of something!

Anyone else have some tips-where do you go for an in park rest?

I agree with the above, except some may not consider Muppets at MGM to be relaxing!!! It's dark and cool, but very loud! Some very little kids have becom frightend by the noise and images (it's in 3D). But other's love it and see it every time they go (like me!).

Otherwise, the above sugestions are great! Have a wonderful trip!

Our plan is a nice long air conditioned sit-down lunch. Make a PS ahead of time so you don't have to wait....we usually do an early lunch like 11am or 11:30 because we're up so early and are usually hungry by this time.

I'd pick any sit-down place and make a PS(last year we did the Castle{great!} and this year we're trying the plaza)

MGM
Usually prime time or Sci-Fi for us...haven't tried the others but we are trying H&V for the dinner package this year

Epcot
We've done the garden grill and the food court in the land. The garden grill is more relaxing(and there are characters) but it's not our favorite as for as food. I'd probably go for a sit down restaurant in one of the countries.

AK
No table service places here except Rainforest and I wouldn't pick that. I'd suggest counter service lunch followed by FoTLK.

Some good ideas already!

MK -
One of my favorites from the days when I had two in a stroller - get on the train at either stop ride around the entire park at least once!
TTA in Tomorrowland - you can pretty much walk on most any time and get to relax
Country Bear Jamboree - not necessarily quiet, but inside and can take a break from the walking
Liberty Tree Tavern - we always enjoy a good meal here at lunchtime - we like to time it so that we can get a spot for the afternoon parade after we have finished eating.
Casey's Corner on Main Street - they have tables set up outside and a piano player sometimes. Sit, relax and have a hot dog and fries while you listen to the music.
Mickey's Philharmagic - Must See! Inside and not a place to sleep, but is entertaining and a great place to sit and enjoy the show!

I agree with all the above, there is one little hiding place at MK that I found however. Coming out of adventure land turn left before hitting Main street. There is a nice wooded area back there behind the christmas store. I little wooded "stage?" that we sat on while the kids played and just hung out for half hour. This was a super break since we spent the whole day at MK that day!!

Here are some more:

AK - Between Flights of Wonder and Africa, there is a little area with tables under cover near the river. You can sight and look at the Tree of Life from the back side. Also, the seating area for Flame Tree Barbecue. If you go all the way out, you can sit again under shade and watch the construction of Expedition Everest.

Epcot - The back garden area of Great Britain is a nice way to cool off and relax, and sometimes you may catch a show at the theater. Also the garden in Japan. Watching the koy fish is very relaxing.

Here are a couple more:

EPCOT: Ellen's Universe of Energy

DS: Beauty & The Beast.

MK: POTC. There's a lot of action, but its fairly long, moves pretty slowly and it dark.

Also, you can stake out a spot for a parade. Its a good excuse to sit around for an hour or so!

Although not IN each park, we usually go to a nearby resort for an afternoon break.

Even though you are staying offsite, you may tour and relax in any of the public areas of the Disney resorts!!!

Epcot - Go out International Gateway and visit any of the resorts there
Yacht Club Galley
Beaches and Cream
Spoodles, etc.

Studios - Same choices as Epcot

Magic Kingdom - Take a monorail ride to any of the monorail resorts and have a nice quiet lunch or take the boat to Wilderness Lodge and have lunch there or take the boat to Ft. Wilderness for the best meal value on property, Trails End Buffet

Animal Kingdom - Take the bus over to Animal Kingdom Lodge for a late breakfast buffet at Boma!! Delicious!!!!

We also go to the moderate resorts and eat lunch at their food court and relax for a bit in the lounge or pool bar.

We stayed off site the week between Christmas and New Years two years ago. When we wanted a break, we just went and sat at one of the counter service restaurants and had a relaxing lunch. Our three children were 4 and under, so for us it would have been too stressful to try to plan a sit down meal. Our kids just don't typically sit for long. Eating at a counter service restaurant was more relaxed for us. There were plenty of tables and lots of room to spread out. We didn't feel like it was a big deal if they kids didn't sit completely still because the atmosphere is casual and we could always find a table away from other people. We found counter service areas in all the parks that were under cover, shaded, and cool. We sat for as long as the kids would allow us to which, was often 45 minutes or more. Sometimes our 2 year old twins would fall asleep in their strollers while we ate. After lunch we would do a few more attractions and then as a previous poster mentioned, we would stake out a seat for the parade, have a Mickey ice cream bar and relax some more.
