I'm a silver level Castaway Club member, my Disney travel buddy is Gold. I'm cruising with my family in 9 days ❤️ and planning on getting a placeholder for my friend and me for a future cruise (likely one that has yet to be announced for Max savings).
*Can she book at the Gold booking date if her name is on the placeholder?
*Would it be better to book an actual cruise and change if needed at Gold booking date?

Thanks so much, these are a few ins and outs I can't seem to find.

I think as long as the Gold CC member is booking herself in the stateroom, it doesn't matter which name is listed first. That said, I would be sure both your names are listed on the placeholder. If only your name is listed, she may not be allowed to use it (but you could call on the Gold date with her CC info and book for both of you).

Enjoy your cruises!

Excellent point! Thank you!! I didn't even think of calling on the gold date myself! 🤣

*update*
I was able to use the chat feature on the DCL website (had a different question), and the CM confirmed that as long as my friend's name is on the placeholder, she or I can call on the gold booking date for new cruises and receive the booking benefit.
