Place to stay near or just south of Pittsburgh

I will be travelling down I-79 on my way to Florida. I am looking or a safe place to stay right off the highway in Pittsburgh or just south....any suggestions???

I live in Washington, PA. We are 20 minutes south of Pittsburgh at the intersection of Interstates 70 and 79. There are a number of hotels right off the highway. Our town is very safe and somewhat small. You may be able to get the Holiday Inn Meadowlands on Priceline. It is a 2* hotel but is fine for just one night. I think you could get it for a about $35. If you want other suggestions, just PM me.

Quite a few of the exits on 79 have hotels right off the Interstate. You could go as far as Washington PA and there are many hotels off that exit.

I wanted to call it Little Washington since that is what we called it when we lived in PA. I figured the OP wouldn't know what I was talking about.

To the OP I would try and stop no further than Washington since it gets pretty remote after that for quite awhile.

Washington changed it's name for this week only to Steeler PA so not to confuse the town with Washington (seahawks) .
Anyway I would stay at the new Spring Hill Suiets In Washington. Take the Murtland ave (rt 19 north ) exit. It has a bunch of restraunts and shopping around it,(Cracker Barrel, Applebees,Red Lobster,Friday's,Texas Roadhouse, Walmart,Lowes,Target,---you get the picture!
