PJ & TR: Claire & Mike - WP/KWR/SCP - 30 Dec 09 - **Inside Disney Weddings Podcast**

Your reception looks so pretty! I really love the look of the petals and votives. Oh, and the food looks so delicious! I love that the quesadillas are shaped like mickey heads!

I didn't pay for votives so I was surprised to see them.

love the mickey shaped quesadillas!! we had them back in 2008 for our wedding everyone loved them

You were my inspiration!

So Mike and I arrived at Sago Cay by the Marina pretty much bang on 8pm but our family wasn't there yet. Randy also turned up on time. I had a look at the food and tables and realised the tables were empty, no centrepieces! I asked the server and then our All About Mickey centrepieces appeared, he hadn't realised we wanted them on the tables, but our gel lights were no where to be seen. He said he would try to sort it out.

By now we were wondering where our family was. Mike rang his Mum and asked her where she was, to which she replied at the Marina, Mike explained that she couldn't be as that's where he was and she wasn't there, so Mike goes off in search of them and I'm left on my own on my wedding day, I must have looked like a very lonely bride. Finally they all arrive, they had been at the boat dock, I had taken my Mum to Sago Cay the other day so she'd know where it was and what it looked like, I asked her what had happened and she said someone had directed them there, she said she hadn't thought it looked right as there was no food, I didn't bother to carry on with the conversation.

Just before the fireworks started our centrepieces turned up, the woman just put them down and walked off, no explanation as to why they were so late. We got into place for the fireworks. We didn't have the music piped in and we didn't miss it. Just as they started a little kid tried to come over but luckily the Mum realised what was happening and took the kid away. You pose so much during the photos that you don't really get to see the fireworks which was a shame as I had hoped that it would be a nice private time for Mike and I. It went like this, Randy: "look at me, look at each other, kiss, look at me, look at each other, kiss".

I am sorry to hear about all the confusion with Sago Cay. I am really worried that people will get lost for mine as well, since everyone I know has no sense of direction :lmao: The food display looks really nice, and the fireworks pictures are lovely!

Everything looks great Claire. Those Mickey quesadilla's are adorable. I am glad that Mike found your family. Did you ask your wedding planner afterwards what happened with the centerpieces coming so late? I agree about not really getting to enjoy the fireworks. You don't realize how much you have to pose. The firework pictures do look very nice though. I am glad that you had a wonderful wedding!

Heh, how sad is it that I knew you guys had the Christmas fireworks just because of the smiley face? Everything looked amazing :)

Just catching up. Everything looks amazing! love the pixiedust picture, so pretty!

You looked so beautiful in your dress and the reception looks wonderful. Yum the food looks so good!

The DP set up is so pretty, it's a shame people didn't eat much of it. I hear you on the fireworks pictures, but it does make for great pictures!

What were those lollipop truffle bits of yummy-ness! I want some of those!!!!

Pictures are beautiful! I love the jacket...hmmm...I think I need one...

It wasn't a big deal really in the end.

Yes apparantly they over-ran setting up another wedding. They refunded me the money for them.

They are Chocolate Truffle Pops.

The jacket was a bridesmaids jacket that my dress shop jazzed up for me.

Claire, your wedding was so beautiful! You looked amazing, and I love all the guys' suits. The food looked delicious, I'm definitely going to need to try those mickey quesodillas, and the desserts! Yummy!

I love the jacket! They did an excellent job "jazzing" it up, it's beautiful.

Claire,

The DP looked great. Even though no one was that hungry! Love, love, love your jacket.

Judi

We took some of the food away with us so it didn't all go to waste.

Do you have a list of what you had at your DP in your PJ somewhere? I don't remember seeing it, but that doesn't mean anything!!

That smiley face photo would have to be my favourite out of your DP pics! Brilliant!

It is somewhere but here it is:

Mini Napoleons, Assortment of Petit Fours, Mini Fruit Tarts, Chocolate Truffle Pops and English Trifle

White and Dark Chocolate Fondue with Items to Dip, including:
Angel Food Cake, Fresh Fruits and Berries, Marshmallows, Graham Crackers, and Pretzels

Coffees and Hot Chocolate with Whipped Cream, Shaved Chocolate, Cinnamon Sticks, Orange Peel, and Flavored Coffee Syrups

Claire! All the desserts look so yummy! I love those Chocolate Truffle pops! I don't see that on the Menu...Is that something you added on? Do you mind sharing your DP BEO. I am still worried that I won't be able to meet the F&B min! :scared1:

Yes we swapped out some cookies I think it was that were on the menu because you got them with the All About Mickey centrepieces we had. It was $40 a person, $50 small party fee and then we had 2 All About Mickey Centrepieces which were $90 or $95 each.

WOW!!! And mmmmmm.....

Everything looked great at your DP Claire! (Or should I say delicious!?):lmao:

Sorry about not being able to find your family at first, glad Mike got them sorted and they got there ok!

You are 100% right!! It was EXACTLY like that when Randy does the DP pics with the fireworks! You made me actually LOL when you described that moment!

You really looked glamorous! And I LOVE the jacket too!

Can't wait for more!!:goodvibes

Here is a little bit more...

We headed into the GF where my step-dad already was as he was coming down with a cold and took some photos by the Christmas Tree.

WDWWeddingDad122.jpg

Mike and I said goodbye to everyone. Mike's brother was flying home the next day so we wouldn't see him again. My Dad was also flying home the next day but not till much later so we had plans to meet him at the Poly the next morning to spend time with him before he left. We went up to our room and some people standing outside their own room shouted to Mike to carry me over the threshold which he did and we got a cheer. Our room at the GF was wonderful, the only downside was no balcony or fireworks view and I'd hoped we could watch the fireworks from our room at midnight.

Mike then had the fun job of taking all the pins out of my hair. In the end I was too tired to get changed and go down to watch the midnight fireworks so we called it a night. It was the best day of my life and i'd do it again tomorrow if I could.

I'm so glad everything went so well dear! I love your pictures!

BTW DF found out I was talking to someone from London on the boards and got all smiley. (thats where he lived and we met before he moved here) We miss it so. We have another 2 years before we move back!
