Does anyone recomend Pizza Planet? What do you think of it?

The reviews on dlpfoodguide are pretty dreadful but the friend I'm travelling with has had it recomended by her sister.
I'm not sure now wether to try and squeeze in a visit or just give it a miss as I originally planned :confused3

It is ok for a quick bite to eat. My kids love it because it has a Toy Story themed play area. The pizza is ok. The kids usually have the Mickey Pizza and fries. You also get Lasagne and garlic bread. My DH did try the pizza burger but did not rate it.

Personally I would choose other counter service but the kids rule :confused3

Thanks!
Maybe we should just pop in for a hot chocolate and a play and not bother with a meal :confused3 Is this allowed?

Yes, as it's counter service it's no problem if you only want a drink rather than a meal.

I had the pizzaburger too, all I can say is it was edible :rotfl2: and it filled the empty hole in my tummy :rotfl: but I am glad I experienced it! :lmao:

The good things about it are the play area and the fact it is very spacious. It is very cool in there too so a very welcome place in the hotter summer months.

I think Pizza Planet is OK, the foods just like the other counter service pizza restaurants and the play area looks fun however I don't suggest eating there on a windy day because of the fact it is a tent basically and the roof can make some strange sounds

Raci, you may find it closed on a few of the days you're there, it took us quite a few attempts to find it open.
If you've got youngsters they'll love it, especially if they're Toy Story fans the theming is great - there's a play area and you can have a bit of a rest whilst they enjoy it. The meal is fast food - I wouldn't say it's any worse than the other counter service restaurants in the park they all serve basic fast food, it's not great but it fulls the gap and it's not too expensive. :)

Like Jill it took us a few attempts to find this open. We had a lovely time here with our two 4 year olds. I had the chicken tikka pizza followed by fresh pineapple which I thought was okay for a counter service place. The play area is really good if your kids are into soft-play type places. I do remeber the toilets being rather pongy though:rolleyes:

Worst Disney food I've ever eaten! But that was many years ago when it first opened but will never try it again.

When my kids were small they loved the Toy Story characters in there.

hiya

yeah i remeber it, we went there on our first visit in 2005, loved it, i had the mickey pizza lol never to old for a kids meal, only found the place after we got lost - the parents went missing! its one on our list to go back to this year.
