My son LOVES Toy Story, but I've read several questionable reviews on the quality of the pizza itself...

For a casual lunch with a Toy Story enthusiast, is this a good choice, despite the supposed mediocrity of the food? Not sure if the theming is worth it or not...we aren't picky eaters by any stretch, so if it's merely OK, but the atmosphere is cool, we're good to go :)

Thanks!!

I'd say go for it. The food isn't horrible by any stretch. It isn't exactly great, it's warmed up frozen pizza and salad, but it's definitely edible. And the atmosphere is definitely cool for a Toy Story obsessed little boy. We have one of those in my family too and Pizza Planet is a huge hit:goodvibes

I agree. It's a fun atmosphere, with games to keep the kids busy for a bit too if you're waiting for a fastpass or anything. The pizza is fine, not memorable, but not bad. I say, go for it.

We really enjoyed Pizza Planet and plan on going again. You're DS will love it - go for it.

If your son really loves Toy Story it's worth eating mediocre food for just one meal.

I hope you enjoy your trip and maybe even the pizza. Have fun.

:)

My kids like it and I put up with pizza since they do.

Although after eating at Via Napoli with my teenage son on this last trip, that pizza is going to be much harder to eat next time!

My bunch love this place and we go there once every trip. The food isn't horrible, I mean, it's pizza.....they can't screw that up too bad. It is just a fun place.

My kids loved it. We would go there again. Liked the fact you got a salad with your pizza. They also have beer. DH liked that on a hot day.

Havent had it since 2005 but we thought it was not bad at all...

Now if I remember WDW pizza not frozen, they have pizza making machines, kind of like a line where they set the pizza crusts on the line and as it goes through the machine puts the toppings on.. So I dont think its as bad as frozen..

I don't think it taste frozen at all. If it is, they do a good job of covering up that yucky frozen food taste somehow.

I think there is little if any Toy Story theming inside - there's an arcade. It does not look like the Pizza Planet in the movie. The Toy Story characters are outside on the building.

It's Hollywood Studios. Pizza Planet is one of the BEST counters in the park.

But seriously, the pizza is fine. My main gripe with the place is that while they have 10000000 claw games among others, it doesn't look or really feel like the ambience of the movie. Not sure what I expected I guess. But we eat there often. It's good enough.

it's actually one of the only places we've found edible pizza and I"ve been looking hard.
My son loves it, but to him he'd spend the whole day in there playing pinball. shrug. It's fine in my book if that's what he likes. :) We usually use it as a nice stop to cool off.

But I agree with the others that say that the theming to toy story is not great. They could have done much better. However, it is a nice place. Just doesn't bring to mind the movie at all.

I don't like WDW pizza but I'm sure a kid would. I'd order salad. Got this from All Ears: Caprese Salad - chopped Romaine, red and yellow grape tomatoes, mozzarella, kalamata olives, cucumber, fresh basil, and balsamic vinaigrette $6.89

Pizza Planet is a must do for both myself and my boyfriend. We actually really love it and as everyone else has said, the atmosphere is wonderful!
