Hi everyone! :wave2: I'm sitting here dreaming of my next trip (tentatively planned for November 2016)! It got me thinking about my last trip 2 years ago and what an amazing time we had and how magical it was so, I thought it would be fun for everyone to share some of their favorite "pixiedust" moments they had at Disney pixiedust:

I'll go first! Our trip in November 2011 (myself, DH and our DD who was 2 at the time) was our first family trip and my and my husband's first trip since we were little kids. The whole trip was magical and seeing how excited my daughter was while we were there was priceless. There's nothing like Disney through they eyes of a child! But the moment that stands out for me and made me realize how much Disney goes above and beyond to make their guests happy was in Epcot. My daughter was in her stroller and getting cranky because she was tired so we let her have her Minnie stuffed animal while riding in her stroller. At some point along the way she must have dropped it out of the stroller and when she realized it was missing she was not so happy. We found out that the lost and found was at the toy store in Germany so we went there to see if someone had turned it in with no luck. My daughter was with me and looked sad that we didn't find Minnie so the lady that worked there got one of the Minnies that was dressed like Rapunzel and took the tags off and just gave it to my daughter. Wouldn't let me pay for it or anything. That to me was just so awesome and it made my daughter's day.

Moments like that just make me want to go back so bad! I cannot wait until November and getting to see how excited my daughter is to go back and also getting to see my son's reactions on his first trip! I love hearing stories like this so please share yours!!

We have 2 from our recent trip.
1. It was late when we checked in on our last trip and it was myself, a good girlfriend, and my 2yo. After 2 flights with a 2yo and lugging bags and his car seat we were tired and just wanting to relax, sleep, and be ready for the next day. We had a lovely gentleman helping us check in, but there was a problem with my magic band. The next morning I went to get it fixed as I have an AP and also wanted charging on my band. Somehow between check in, fixing my band, and our sheer exhaustion we noticed we had an extra set of deluxe dining points added to our reservation. We spoiled others by sharing our points which was great fun!.
2. We found a beloved toy in a ride queue and we were lucky enough to see the little girls face when they came back looking for it and the cast member we gave it to returned it. Fun day!

Thanks for sharing!! It's awesome that you were able to help make other guests' days as well!

We were in WDW in Sept of 2014. It was in the mid 90's the day we went to AK. We were hot, tired and cranky by the time we were leaving (not to mention that DD 4 and DS 2 were covered in melted Mickey bars). We were NOT looking forward to the long, crowded bus ride back to the Wilderness Lodge. A cast member approached us with a clip board and asked us where we were staying. I am embarrassed to admit that my first thought was that I REALLY didn't want to take a survey. Anyway, she told us that she was from transportation and was giving "magical moments" of private bus transfers to families. They loaded us onto a Disney bus that was 10 feet away and took us straight to our resort. It was truly magical and there was no part of my vacation where I would have appreciated it more.

mine was my last quick trip back in march or april 2015 we got to our resort super early like way to early but we were hoping we could leave our bags and hit the park. well when we got there LILO was down so they had to take our info by hand after checking a room was available that early!! but then we realized our magic bands were supposed to be given to us upon arrival and with lilo down that wasn't happening we had 1 day park ticket each and now was kinda bummed because they said lilo would be back up in a few hours. but the castmeber went in the back and brought us out two park hopper park passes!! so after dropping bags off we got to to the parks and after getting a scooter head to main street and we picked out some magic bands and the cast member there started having trouble linking them up to the complimentary tickets that we used to enter the park with. luckily after 3-4 cast members helping we got everything straightened out lol and our bands were working fast passes were ready!
the last thing was on our way to our first fast pass was big thunder mountain this cast member guy saw us and stopped us and we chatted and told him yes we were about to fast pass for btmrr he old us to save the fast pass and handed us paper fast pass for BTMRR
so much pixie dust in one trip!!

We got hooked on our very first trip. Our DD (6 at the time) fell and got hurt in the room at POP and needed stitches. I called to the front desk to ask them to have a taxi waiting while my wife got dressed to take her to the ER. It was late. After asking numerous times if we needed an ambulance, I assured the CM on the phone that an ambulance was fine. My wife was met in the lobby by the manager on duty who once more confirmed an ambulance was not necessary. He then ushered them out to the waiting taxi, but sent it away stating "I requested a driver fluent in English, move on!" There was another right behind he helped them in to, then went to the driver, gave him a piece of paper with the address of the SPECIFIC hospital he was to take them to, a voucher for both ways fare, and specific instructions to wait there for them and ensure they got back to the hotel. He then turned to my wife and said "My shift is over in 10 minutes so I will not be here when you get back. Here is my cell phone number, would you PLEASE let me know when you get back so that I know you are safely back on property?" While, yes, a large part of this is risk management/minimizing exposure to risk, it is also outstanding customer service. We have had more "happy" PD since, but this example is why we have been back.

Wow that is good! They could have just handed over to the next CM coming on shift, or even just not said anything else other than order the taxi!

Love hearing about all the nice things!! Little things like these are a big reason of why I'm so excited to go back!

We went on a three generation trip in September. My dad has always tended to get really cranky if he is overtired or overheated and on this particular day he was both. We had ADR's for lunch at BOG and my mom talked him out of getting the onion soup for lunch due to the heat (it was an insanely hot day). He pretty bummed throughout the meal that he had not ordered what he wanted, and was especially bummed that in order to get it he'd have to wait on that long BOG line again. So he asked our server if there was any way to order it without getting in line. She said, "Hold on just a minute," and returned a few moments later with a bowl of soup, no charge, and saying "this soup is for the Fairy Godfather who I bet is taking everyone on this trip." It was great. Made my day.

My son lost his first tooth last summer at WDW. We were having lunch at the Coral Reef at Epcot and it popped out as he was eating the bread lol. Our waitress saw the commotion and came to check on us. My son gleefully told her about his tooth. That evening when we returned to our resort, my son found balloons and a little gift bag that included a cute little box to put his tooth in. We were SO SURPRISED!! Our waitress went out of her way to contact our resort about our son's little celebration! 5000% pixie dust! What a magical memory for us all!

How sweet! So nice that she was able to make your dad's day a little better :)

Wow! How awesome for your son. That server really went above and beyond!

In 2013 my DD5 fell off her chair while having lunch at Restaurantosaurus and hit her head, she started crying. Within a minute a CM showed up with a cookie for her and a cookie for DS8. It was pretty amazing how he appeared as if from out of nowhere.

This last December we drove and decided to get a room the night before check in already in the Disney bubble (originally we were going to just find a cheapy hotel), so we got booked a room at ASM, just a standard room. When we checked in we were in the Toy Story area (preferred) which was awesome because we got to hang out in the courtyard with Buzz and Woody and get some awesome pics.

During that trip we went to get a return time and were just told to go right in to meet Elsa and Anna and Enchanted Tales with Belle.

One day when we went back to the resort Mousekeeping had set up the room with our kids snuggies and blankets, balloons and stuffed animals to create little scenes...it was so cool.

At Mama Melrose we were halfway through our dinner when people came up and asked if we wanted a cake they has not eaten, it was pretty timely since neither DS nor DH like the desserts from the dessert trio.

So glad to see this thread take off! We have so many pixie dust moments, I'll have to try to remember them all!

Most recently, we were at DisneyLAND for a day trip and another guest stepped on my olukai flip flops, broke the strap and kept on going. Basically I couldn't walk in them. We were all the way at Toontown or something, and I shuffled into a gift shop to ask if they had any sandals in my size. One CM saw my sandals and said, "Aw man, and those were Olukais... Bummer!"and went to check on whether they had anything there. They didn't, but called around to all the other shops in DL to find one that did. Then they helped me patch up my sad flip flop with scotch tape and staples (!!) and then ... handed me a voucher for a free pair of sandals and called ahead to the store to let them know I'd be coming!

Last time we were at WDW, we had booked through central reservations a standard studio at BWV. We were meeting another family there, and they were booking a 1BR. But since our travel dates overlapped but weren't the same, we couldn't just book a 2BR, which is what we wanted. We put the requisite notes in our reservations and asked for adjoining rooms or at least rooms near each other. We were the first to get there, so I asked at the front desk again. After much searching, the CM said they couldn't get us adjoining rooms, but, "I have something that might work out for you anyway." He put us in a pool view 1BR a few doors down from our friends (who had also gotten upgraded to a pool view).

Love all your pixiedust moments! I really love the Mousekeeping setting up your kid's toys, my daughter would get a kick out of that!

So nice of them to give you a free pair of shoes to wear and how awesome to get the upgrade!

We had and witnessed some wonderful moments. One of my favorites was when DD and I stopped to watch the Festival of Fantasy parade and I looked over and there was Princess Aurora watching with a little girl who looked like she'd died and gone to heaven. Her mom said that she'd been next in line for the meet and greet when it was stopped for the parade, so Aurora just took her over to the front of the area to watch together.

We went to AOA two years. I renewed our pass and made FP+ reservations. My dh was finishing up and studying for his boards, so we could only go from Saturday-Wednesday. Well when I tried to get in to the park our passes would not work. Our current pass had not expired and it was the Weekday Select. I had no idea, as it let me make FP reservations for that day. I was upset and tired.... We went back to hotel and I wasn't sure what to do since the bulk of our trip was the weekend. I started crying, realizing our magical trip was indeed ruined. At the front desk at AOA-Jessi asked me what was wrong. I explained the situation to her. She too was perplexed why the system would let me make reservations, but our pass was not suppose to be workable.

She spoke with someone on the phone and they gave us 5 passes with park hoppers for the day on Saturday. I will always be grateful for her and whoever on the other end was kind enough to help us. We relaxed on Sunday and enjoyed the parks again on Monday. That was probably the most magical and thoughtful thing that happed to us.

On this past trip a I was going to get a Dole Whip float and as I got into line a cm came up to me and asked me if I would like one. I told her I was just about to order one and she handed me one free of charge.

It is those things that make a Disney vacation the best!!!!

My daughter lost one of her teeth at Coral Sea too!! That's funny. Our waitress just told us that Tinkerbell would be happy to give her tooth to the tooth fairy. We took the hint and left her a note that night from Tink. :tink:

Our pixie dust moment was getting on the bus after being in MK all day. The girls had been to BBB earlier in the day. It was a sparsely populated bus but the driver put on an announcement over the PA saying that everyone needed to be on their best behavior because they were traveling with a Disney Princess. What? Where? Hubby had to clue me in that he was talking about our Disney Princesses. It was a cute little thing to do that we hadn't heard of before (they probably do it all the time but we felt special).

We were there first week of January. First thing we did upon entering MK was try to buy an autograph book (at Sir Mickey's) for the M&G's. There was an issue with our MagicBand and it would not charge the item to our account. The woman behind the counter did everything she could and called everyone she knew to help fix the issue. She never pushed us aside to help anyone else - she stayed with us the whole time. She wasn't able to resolve the issue (turned out to be NBD, but we had to go elsewhere to fix it). She ended up just giving us the autograph book and let my daughters pick out whichever pens they wanted. That was already above and beyond, but then...

She apologizes again and says she can't do anything more but try to give us back "the gift of time." She proceeds to pull out this book and hands us a "Golden Ticket" which acts as a FP but you don't need a reservation - you just go to the ride you want when you want. We were stunned! We bee-lined it over to 7DMT which was out of FP+ all week and walked right on to the ride. First ride of the entire 5-day trip.

It wasn't that big of a deal, but it really could've gotten the trip off on the wrong foot. Instead, it was a "Pixie Dust" moment that set the tone for the rest of the week!

My favorite is waking up Jose at the Tiki room. My son is obsessed with the Tiki room, and one time a CM asked if Ds wanted to wake up Jose. A 3 yr old with a stick is pretty dangerous, but the cm was great with boy. Since then, many of the cms let our boy wake up Jose!

My first one was our first trip in 2011. It was myself and my hubby, and we had never been before. We made it our belated Honeymoon trip, and when we checked in at POFQ, we were told that we were upgraded to a river view corner room with a king size bed. The room was perfect. Beautiful view, and 3rd floor.. so amazing. I was also chosen to do a survey while we were there and give Disney my thoughts and such. I received a $25 gift card at the end of that just for participating. I thought that was cool lol.

My second one was in 2013. We were down there so I could run the Princess Half Marathon. It was my first one, and it was amazing. The Monday after the race (the race happens on Sundays for those who aren't aware), we headed to MK for our last day before heading home. Of course, I wore my medal, my tiara, and my "I Did It!" shirt. We were sitting on the bus on our way, not many people on the bus. I think maybe 2 families with kids.. and the bus driver put a special announcement over the speaker like they do.. but this time.. it was for me.. "We are pleased to have a Disney Princess riding with us today, so please everyone, be on your best behavior". I cried (and actually am tearing up now typing this lol) because it was so special, and after completing such a huge milestone, it was amazing to hear. I also received a celebration pin from a CM who saw my medal, and she personalized it with the date of the half marathon and whatnot. It was so sweet. I will never forget it.

My last one happened in Sept 2013, when we brought our daughter when she was 9 months old. This was her first trip, and we were so excited. I kind of trained her early lol.. she was watching Disney Jr since she was 2 months old lol. So we decided to Fastpass Mickey at the Theater in MK.. He spent a good 5-10 minutes with us, of course interacting with the baby.. so much as to play peek-a-boo with her, let her kiss his nose and more. It was such a special moment because we happened to be the only family they had in the room at the time. It was amazing, and she loves Mickey (and all of the characters) more than words.

Of course, we never expected any of these things, but I am so happy Disney and their CMs, really do go the extra mile to make a trip special, even with the smallest of acts. I can't wait to go back home!
