Hi all! I know others have more serious medical issues than I, so please save your strogent pixie dust and prayers for them, but if you have any left over, I could use a spoonful. A week ago I was diagnosed with a femoral neck stress fracture, and have been on crutches since then. I am a runner, and ran a half marathon distance 2 weeks ago, and was about to start training for the Walt Disney World marathon! The femoral neck stress fracture doctors say it's in a high risk area, and may need crutches for 6 weeks or more. If worsens, may need surgery and months of rehab etc. Today I wil find out from my doctor when I can start to put weight on the leg and maybe walk a little. Of course I want to run again, but I need to get back to work, and I need to feel useful around the house, instead of having my family do everything for me. Again, I want others with more serious issues and problems to get the help they need first, but I just know this community is so supportive I just wanted to put it out there. Thank you all so much.
