Pixie dust needed

I hate asking...but I need some prayers, and good thoughts, or crossed fingers, whatever. The Army decided DH's extension here until after Christmas wasn't what they wanted. So he got a call yesterday telling him that he needed to fly out immediately to Germany. (The whole thing is a long drawn out story, I realize it doesn't make sense here, but trust me you'll fall into a coma of boredom reading the whole thing)) Anyway, he is at his unit now tryingt to extend until Dec 29th.....or at least Sunday to give the kids a day or two to say goodbye. Some pixie dust would be great. Thanks

Thank you all. He just called, and they extended him until the 29th. He will fly out on the 28th. We will have Christmas together. Next year he will be deployed over Christmas, so this was important to us.

I'm so happy for you. I know how hard it is to be away from your spouse during the holidays, but as my DH says, it is 10x harder for them (the soldiers) to be away. We have been lucky in that DH has only been away 1x at Christmas during his now 18 years.

I hope you all have a fabulous holiday and tell him thank you for his service and thank YOU for supporting him, from one soldier's wife to another.
