Here's a link to an AP story about some announcements by John Lasseter

Pixar's upcoming releases include "Toy Story 3" in June 2010; "newt," a love story involving the last two blue-footed newts alive, set for the summer 2011; the Scottish fantasy "The Bear and the Bow" for Christmas 2011; and "Cars 2" in the summer of 2012.

Pixar also plans to rerelease the original "Toy Story" and "Toy Story 2" in the 3-D format

I was just reading this article too and I thought it was interesting that they are doing so many digital 3-d movies. Some of these did not sound that good to me but who knows, maybe they will be my new favorites. I just worry that Disney is focusing too much on the technology and not enough on the story.

When will the classic musicals return? I have great expectations for The Princess and the Frog, I hope it can live up to them!

I like pixar, but it makes me sad that they've stopped doing original animation. :sad1:

I am with you all the way on that one. However the thought of a Cars 2 movie sounds very inviting, just hope it lives up to the first movie.

Disney is already turning PIXAR into an also ran...The reason they paid for PIXAR, presumably, was their cutting edge, innovative process and storytelling that was so much like Walt's Disney...Now it's obvious that Disney's management doesn't really care about all that good stuff when there is money to be made with sequels. Just the same ole crap from a different Disney boss.

My five year old son has hand drawn 3 and taped them on the TS2 books in his room. I think we are the only family that is doing a countdown for a movie that won't be out for a few years.
