Pixar Place - Mobile Check In Question

We have a booking at Pixar Place which is in my daughters name but both myself & my adult son are included on the booking as guests and we are all linked through my own Disney account. My son will be arriving a good 12 hours earlier than my daughter and I and I was wondering can he actually check in at the desk if he is listed as a guest or can only the person whose name the booking is in actually check in at the desk. I ask because if only my daughter can check in at the desk as the booking is in her name would we be better to mobile check in and if we do go down this path does that mean that my son would be able to enter the room when it is ready borrowing my disney account log in details.

With mobile check in your son could just go right to the room and use his phone to open it. He'd just need to access your account so he can unlock the door.

Thanks yes thats how I thought it worked but I wasn't sure.
