Pixar Party 8/26-27 at Epcot. Pin Trading/Buying. What can I expect?

I registered for the Pixar Party to be held at Epcot 8/26-27. I am a semi-serious pin trader but have not been to one of these events before. Can any of you experts advise me on what to expect? How often does Disney hold events like this? I reviewed the special pins in the merchandise catalog and read about the RSP. Anything special I need to know about that? Any other general thoughts or advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

Disney only has one big pin event each year. This event is usually held in September, but has been held in August at least once before and one year was held in June. The event usually averages about 1200 traders. You will need to complete your RSP (Random Selection Process) with the pins in the order that you want them most. It makes sense to put any pins that you really want or pins that have a very low edition size as number one or number two on your RSP. There are some pins that are popular characters and low edition sizes and if you do not put the pins in the first slot or two, you will not be awarded those pins in the RSP. There are some traders who will wait in lines for the pin boards all day and some pin traders who will sit in the back area and trade. I guarantee you that you have the best odds of someone in that room having any pin that you are looking for during this event. It is a lot of fun!!

Does anyone know if you are suppose to fill in options 4-20 on the rsp for the pin event? Or do you just fill in your top 3 pin selection? Thanks for the help in advance.

You should fill out the first RSP with all of the pins that you wish to have in the order that they are important to you. If you wish to have multiples of a certain pin, you should also put it on your 2nd or 3rd RSP. If you do not get a pin on your first RSP, it is almost certain that you will not get it on a subsequent RSP.
