Pistachio Salad?!

Okay this is SO gross, but my DH's family has a special name for any jello/cool whip mixture like this. They call it Sheep Snot. I know, right?!

My dad's family is Texan through and through. You cannot go to a family event that does not include this slice of heaven.
My mom's family is from Maine and Connecticut...they would think we are insane for even considering these ingredients mixed together.
I have to say...I love this stuff!

We do this and one called Strawberry dream. It is frozen strawberries, Strawberry jello and Cool whip. You make the Jello like normal and add the strawberries(after they thawed) let it set for a bit and then add a container of cool whip and stir it up. It is sooo yummy.

Pistachio Salad is delicious! I look forward to having it every Thanksgiving! I also like to put a few marachino cherries on top.

The more i hear about American food, the more i wonder!

Why don't we have anything like this here??? Why is everything remotely high in sugar seemingly banned or ignored?

I feel really left out! I'm going to go eat the box of fruit loops my parents brought back, and try and drown my sorrows in a sugar high!

Yeah... It seems to be a hot topic at the moment, and we, as non-americans, have NO IDEA what the hell they're talking about!

Good idea with the fruit loops, now I kinda fancy some of my Lucky Charms especially when it took me up to the other day to finish my sweets from MNSSHP in september...
