I keep hearing things about revamping POC. Is this in DL or DW? And what are they doing to it?

They are revamping the ride at both Disneyland and Disney World. They are refurbishing as well as adding in Captain Jack, Barbossa, and some other "familiar characters." (Supposedly some of the other pirates in Barbossa's crew.) I've also heard that they are adding fog to the ride....

CM at MK-WDW told us its being revamped due to the success of the Johnny Depp movies and the new version will fit a little more with that.

Oh cool, when are they doing this? Would it be done by Sept/Oct 07? That's when we are going and DH and boys would LOVE this. POC is my DH's favorite attraction of all time!!!

Man every time I see a Pirates thread, I am reminded it will be closed when we are there. booo hoooo. Oh well, guess I gotta go back when it re-opens.

I'll be sure we all see the new POC movie, so when we ride POC in Aug, we will be in the know! I love POC! Always have, but new and improved will be great.

YO HO....I LOVE PIRATES! I am a little worried about the scaryness of the next movie and I'm hoping it throws in all of those silly things that were in the first one. The Pirates at Disneyland should be done by the end of June from what I've heard, don't know about DW though. You can't go wrong with Pirates though!
