Pirate's Punch? Sugarfree? No souvenir?

I keep reading that pirate's punch is "Minute Maid Light Raspberry Lemonade. Served in a souvenir Pirate Cup with a glowing Tinker Bell or Captain Hook clip-on light"

Two questions:

1) Does this mean it is sugar free?

2) Can you get it without the souvenir cup or clip-ons as just a beverage in a regular glass, and can it count in this simpler form as your drink on the DDP?

Thanks for your help!

It is technically sugar-free.
It has both aspartame (nutrasweet) and sucralose (splenda) in it, and trace amounts of actual lemon juice, which is what accounts for the 5 calories per serving.

I've never tried to get it as a 'regular' beverage, but can't see why you would not be able to do so - if they have ithe syrup on the fountain to dispense into those souvenir cups, surely they would be willing to dispense it into a regular glass.

Both aspartame & sucralose? Interesting... usually it's just one or the other...

I just look forward to the raspberry lemonade as another option besides the plain light MM lemonade & diet cokes which seem to be the only other sugarfree (or almost sf) beverages any place else.

It seems simple enough to just put in a regular cup & serve as a regular drink, doesn't it?

I can confirm that you can get it without the souvenir cup. I have done this at multiple restaurants and they charge you the same price as any other fountain drink so it will be on the DDP.

Is it good? I am looking at ordering it for my children at Kona Cafe, so that they can get the cup & Tinkerbell light.

I like the regular Minute Maid light that is served plain. I tried the raspberry version and found it to taste WAY too sweet for me. I even asked if they were sure that it was light lemonade and was assured that it was. I didn't care for it at all.

I have found that lemonade... and soda... can taste different from time to time even at the same place. It may just be the one time it was too sweet (improperly mixed, or off with the proportions of syrup or mix used). Anyway, if it's particularly strong, you could always try adding some water.

I tend to like sweet... just because it's light, that doesn't mean it can't be sweet... artificial sweetners do make things sweet too. :)
