Pirates & Princesses Parties

I'm concerned about the heat too... but I'll get a good trial run during the wedding so I'll make a judgement call from there ;)

For the wedding I'm wearing more what would be considered ren faire garb rather than a traditional wedding dress... which means it can easily double as a princess dress. But it also means that there's a long sleeve chemise underneath the dress! Still, it's all cotton, and the chemise itself is loose fitting as well as the sleeves. Fortunatly the girls dresses don't have the second layer, so they should be fine. They're a similar style as my dress and can double as princess dresses without a problem (and I've already told them this... don't know if it'll keep them from asking for "real" princess dresses however)

I realize prices are pending since tickets to the August party are not on sale until June but how much was a ticket for the last parties in February? Just want an idea of how much this would be. Also, it sounds like all the attractions and rides are open. Would it be possible to save a day of park tickets and just go to the party that night or would we have to use a day from the park tickets. Not sure if that is clear. I was thinking we would buy 3 day tickets and hang around the hotel pool the day of the party and still use the 3 days at the park and get this "day" that evening so 4 days really (three days and one evening). I hope this question makes sense, I seem to be having trouble stating it clearly. Thank you.pirate:

I want to say right around $40 for adults and $35 for kids

I can't wait for these tickets to go on sale for our August trip!! :)

Anyone going in August not sure about dressing up? I'm just a little concerned that we will get too hot in costumes at this time of the year.

Yes, I thought about that too - another reason why I like the Tink idea - there's not much to her costume! :lmao: We're planning on the 28th, but keeping the 31st and 24th as back-ups, so maybe see some of you there!

Okay, I have a question. I know technically Tinkerbell is not a 'princess', but since she appears on the float, do you think I could get away with dressing up as Tinkerbell. My mum and sis, if in costume, wanna be pirates, and I was hoping for some kind of Peter Pan theme amongst the three of us i.e. Tinkerbell, Captain Hook and Smee! :rotfl: What does anyone think to that? Can Tinkerbell count for this occasion???

If Belle is considered a princess, then Tinkerbelle is one too. I don't remember Belle ever marrying Beast (unless it was in a direct to DVD release), which means she was just living in sin:eek:

The event is a separate ticket event. You'd only need a regular ticket if you wanted to go earlier that day. Otherwise, just rest all day and show up that evening for some looting and laughter! So you can go 3 days and that one night with a 3 day pass and the Pirate/Princess ticket.

Thank you Mean Queen and LisaNJ25 for the information. It sounds like this party would be the highlight of a Disney trip for my two pirates. Arg!pirate:
