Yeah, they're trying to follow Ponce De Leon's trail to the Fountain of Youth in Florida, but that doesn't necessarily mean they'll make a fourth one. The had some nice closure after the credits of the third one.

Plus, if they do make a fourth one, unless Beckett somehow survived (doubtful), they'll never be able to create another villain as great as any in the first three movies, so a fourth one would be disappointing.

Yeah, I kinda hope they don't make a fourth. They tied up all the loose ends I wanted to know. Except, I still can't figure out what mark Jack left on Cutler Beckett... You remember, in DMC Beckett said that they left their marks on each other; well Beckett left the pirate brand on Jack, but what did Jack leave on Beckett?

Oh yeah... you know, it's funny. When Beckett and Jack were in that room making thier bargain, I figured that was when we'd see what mark it was, but when it didn't happen, I totally forgot about it until just now.

I read on a separate PotC 3 thread that Orlando Bloom doesn't want to do a fourth movie. A pirates movie without him means a sharp drop in the female population that goes to see it.

I heard that Kiera Knightley doesn't want to do another one. They'd better come up with some new sidekicks for Captain Jack if Orlando and Kiera refuse to be pirates anymore.

i saw it last night AWESOME it was SO funny && jack sparrow couldn't look any cuter! oohhh i loved it but i hated how will is not Davy Jones, i loved when jack was like: followed by rocks thats a new one and when he sees all them there to save him hes like Hector! has it been that long and he was like yea you shot me and hes liek I did not doesn't sound like me..... Am I the only one that gets the map at the end????? How could everyone miss it?????? There were 4 of us together at the movie and I was the only one that saw it.
How could there be a 4th movie? Jack already found the fountain of youth!!!!

At the end of the movie, he is in the little boat, and he pulls out the map to look for the fountain of youth.......if you look at the map and follow the trail, did anyone see where the X is?? X marks the spot you know..........................................................................................................it was at WDW in Florida! That is the fountain of youth! And as all who have been lately know, he is already there! He made it!

Oh yeah, I meant to ask... how much did Disney pay to keep a PG-13 rating? That movie was horribly violent...

Exactly why I dont watch the Pirates movies. .

I thought it was Jack that didn't want to do a fourth one because he didn't like being referred to as a "pirate" all the time anymore and Orlando Bloom said that if they had another movie he would do it in a heartbeat because "it was the best gig in the world".

Overall I loved the movie, I just wish they could have ended it a bit better with Will and Elizabeth, I mean ten years? Come on. The least they could have done on that part was bring Callypso back into the movie and have her give Will his heart back...

Pirates 3 was amazing!!! I will admit, it was hard to follow at some parts but what films aren't hard to follow? It was a awesome. I love the Pirates of the Carribean attraction audio after the Pearl went down the waterfall. The final battle was awesome, and of course, it was hilarious. Jack always puts a smile on me face. They better make a fourth because they defiantly set up for one.

Yeah I kinda got confused at that part. I also got annoyed because she was yelling in some native tongue. It's hard enough for me to understand what Tia is saying in the first place

Calypso put the curse of 10 years there. If the cursed man's beloved was still waiting for him after 10 years, the man was no longer bound to the ship. The green flash represents the curse being broken (i.e. there was a green flash when they all escaped the locker). So when Will was returning 10 years later, Elizabeth was waiting for him...and the curse was broken. So Calypso wasn't needed to give Will his heart back. They can already be together now. This also explains why Davy Jones was so furious and heartbroken at Calypso for not being there when he was able to step onto land after 10 years. The only way he wouldn't be bound to the ship anymore was if she was still waiting for him, which she wasn't, and therefore he remained cursed.

The jar was broken in Dead Man's Chest and the dirt scattered around, revealing that the heart was not in there (Norrington had taken it).

Aww... at the end of the movie I really thought that there would be a fourth. But now that you mentioned that the "Fountain of Youth" was at WDW, that ties things all together into a very cute (and yes, very cheesy) ending. I really hope there is another! I can't stand thinking there won't be another adventure! Well... I did that for Star Wars, but... that's another story.
