Pirates on the Dining Plan!! A week of Disney dining! (with lots of pics!)

Awesome Awesome Dining Report! I loved it.

Thank you for sharing your Disneyland pics. The Cars ride looks fun lol!

I love the goodies you all made at Goofys. Oh and I want to try WGPE now! It looks so good!

Cool DLRP pics....so what time of year do you think it is best to go there for people who don't like the cold? We were thinking March of one year, but I know that it may be a lot colder than what we are used to. Since we live in the same weather schedule as WDW...I don't want to freeze my tuckus off. Do you think fall is better? Are there good places to eat there?

Thanks for finishing your WDW reviews Karin - and for the DLRP pics.

As sad as it is, despite all the delicious food pics you posted, the pic of those Leibniz biscuits really got my mouth watering - I love those and we can't get them here :sad2:

This was the BEST Food Porn Trip Report I have ever read! Thank you so much! Now I am hungry...:thumbsup2popcorn::

Thank you so much for a great report Karin. I have just read all 17 pageds and I am SOOO hungry right now!!! :sad2:

I have been making lots of notes for our September trip....my hubby & I both love Creme Brulee so I will be taking up your recommendation of WPE.

Looking forward to seeing the rest of your DLRP pics. :thumbsup2

Glad you like them. You need to come and experience it for yourself one day!

If you do not like the cold weather then May to September (early October) would be a safe bet. March CAN still BE very cold! I have to warn you though - there are only fireworks in July and August and for New Years!
There are a few very nice table service places, one of the best is

Walt's an American Restaurant!
It is right on Main Street and the food is very good. I have a few photos of their food coming up.
Then there is the
Silverspur Steakhouse. Very good steaks grilled in an open kitchen.
There is also the Blue Lagoon restaurant, which is located inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride! Very nice seafood.
Agrabah Cafe has a buffet and used to be open seasonally.
All these restaurants are in the Disneyland Park

Walt Disney Studios does not have a table service place, but you could dine with Chef Remi from Ratatouille in the "Rendevous de Stars" restaurant (buffet style)

In the Disney Village I can recommend "The Steakhouse". Looks like an american steakhouse with a European twist to it.
Another nice one is Annette's Diner - it is just that, a diner, but you get the occasional server performance of Grease! It is a really fun place for a quick meal.

There are numerous counter service places which offer regular theme park food (burgers, pizza, fried fish).
You could have a look at the menus if you google dlpfoodguide! Just PM me if you have any more questions. :goodvibes

Your biscuits are on the way - they will be there before you know it!

I am glad you liked it! When will you be there in September?

Definitely give the Creme Brulé at WPE a try - it is SO good!

What a fabulous report...thank you! Quite a difference in Business-class food and economy class, huh?

Thank you! Yip flying business class has definitely spoiled me, LOL! Now I look at economy class food in a whole different way :rotfl:

Dinner rolls. These are served warm and there are different types of rolls in the basket.

State Side Steak’n’Shrimp. Surf and Turf skewer of filet steak served with king prawns, baked potato, onion rings, mixed salad and sauce Bernaise. This was Tom's plate and that was a lot of food. He liked it very much.

Kobe Burger. The Connoisseur’s choice of burger made from Australian Kobe beef, topped with “Di Buffalo” mozzarella, bacon, red onions, tomatoes, rocket, served with fries and onion ring. It was nice, but not as nice as I had expected. The beef patty had the feel of a pre-formed frozen patty and I thought that would be a freshly made one. The mozzarella was cold and in one piece, not melted.

Steakhouse Profiterole. Giant Profiterole – Puff Pastry stuffed to the brim with Max Havelaar vanilla ice-cream, whipped cream and hot chocolate sauce. They were right, it was a giant profiterole and far too much for one person

IMG_9707.jpg

Irish Coffee Tiramisu. Well, it didn’t remind me of tiramisu at all, but it was nice and far too rich

And here are a few more photos of the park at night!

The castle in its winter glory. I always seem to take photos where the castle "leans" to one side! :lmao:

More lovely photos Karin :thumbsup2 That Kobe burger looks really disappointing - and, for the record, I despise cold mozzarella so I would have been pretty unhappy with that. The profiterole looked lovely but absolutely huge!

I am glad you liked it! When will you be there in September?

Definitely give the Creme Brulé at WPE a try - it is SO good!

We arrive on the 7th Sept for 13 nights at Old Key West + FREE dining! Then a 4 night cruise on the Wonder (our 1st ever cruise) & 4 more nights at the Poly, arriving home on the 29th....I can't wait!!!:cool1:

Great pics of DLRP. :)

Great night pictures.
The Kobe burger doesn't sound impressive to me too. First off it says "Australain beef?" Is that supposed to be a treat? Evey Amercian that I knw that has gone to Australia has said the meat there is super gross and nast ycompared to the US. :lmao:
