I think it's El Pirata y el Perico. Not for sure, though. It's only open seasonally.

Are you talking about Blue Bayou inside of the Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland? If so, the food was meh, but our kids loved the atmosphere so it was a wash for us. If you're asking about El Pirata y el Perico, I've never been impressed.

There is not a restaurant inside pirates of the caribbean in WDW. There is el pirate y perico (or whatever) across the "street" and it is a counter service w/ burritos and such. I liked it.

I've eaten at the Blue Bayou inside Pirates of the Carribbean at Disneyland several times and it was magical!:wizard: I can't tell you anything about the food, but I can tell you that 20 years later, I remember the entire look of the restaurant and our experience there. I loved it!!! But then it's one of my favorite rides. pirate:

The first time I was at the World, I was so disappointed that there wasn't one inside their POC, too! Of course, I have found plenty of other things to love about WDW :thumbsup2

I was talking about the Blue Bayou at Disneyland. Yeah the food was meh and for me the service was meh. I've never been to the El Pirata y el Perico

Welcome to the boards!

Blue Bayou is one of the most visually stunning restaurants I've ever eaten in, and my first experience with a Monte Cristo sandwich. (I remember it like I remember my first kiss...)

The closest you'll come at WDW is the San Angel Inn in the Mexico pavilion at Epcot. Ask if you can sit by the water...

.
Exactly! Now I feast on them regularly at my nephew and niece's restaurant in Nashville, but that first one was heaven. We had a dismeet at Blue Bayou and it was an amazing day.

Honestly we try to catch Pirate & Parrot whenever its open as an alternate for MK cs food. Its not anything special, but its decent and a nice variation from the other cs options. Biggest downside is it isn't open all the time - depends on the crowd.

Having just returned from DLR in November, there are so many more dining options there than in WDW's MK. San Angel is a similar atmosphere to Blue Bayou in terms of having a restaurant along side a waterfront attraction - you can watch the boats go by and enjoy the "night" like atmosphere. I have to say though that in a handful of trips to San Angel we've always left feeling disappointed. I want it to be good, it smells good, but the flavors come up short and the check comes up high.

I have eaten one of these at Chedder's there in Bowling Green. YUMMY!!

DD & I thought our meal & service at Blue Bayou in October was the best meal we had at DL... they even covered our dinner plates with those plate lids for serving when we got up to go the the restroom! Super good food too!

I just got back from eating at the Blue Bayou last week! the atmosphere is amazing, and the food is pretty solid. I got the Buccaneer ribs and it wasn't the best meal I've ever had, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat!
