All the discussion on the internet about the POTC rehab/redesign has focused on DLR. And when WDW is mentioned, it is just to say that DLR is getting more attention from WDI.

Has anyone heard about differences in the rehab for the two attractions?

The biggest difference from what I have read is that the DL version will have actual movie props. There is also a new effect where Davy Jones is projected on a mist screen above the passing boats. Other than that, the Jack Sparrow additions are pretty similar.

I am going to WDW this summer and am very excited for the return of a new and better POTC. In the mean time I can't wait for POTC2. From the artist renderings of the new POTC ride its looks amazing!! I do not have an answer to your question of land vs. world but I am sure they will both be so awesome. Can't wait for August
