The cast - Me, DBF and DD 8.
Myself and DD have been to DLP 5 times and to WDW 3 times while DBF has been to DLP 3 times with us. He doesn't want to go to WDW. He last came with us in March 2007.
The trip was discussed, planned and booked in a day. I was having a bad week which led to me sulking about going to DLP and DBF said all 3 of us could go on the next trip, he first said next year however that was far to long to wait, and him change his mind in the mean time. So he suggested I check prices while he was working, saying it was to be a cheap trip. Well as we all stayed 5 nights at DLH CC, the HNY seamed really cheap. We had it booked by tea time the next day, 4 nights at the HNY with flights in September. We will probably arrive at DLP at about 2pm on our first day as I didn't book the first flight as it is a bit early for DD. I booked the last flight home though so we get a whole day for our last day.
We first stayed at the HNY in September 2005 on our first trip when DD was only 3. I am looking forward to going back to stay there.
DD favourite thing to do at DLP is to run around adventure isle with a pirate sward, she is planning on taking a costume this year too, I imagine plenty of time will be spent riding POTC and on adventure isle. She hates POTC at WDW however will go on the DLP version 5 times in a row.
As for the princesses, we plan to go to Abergene for the princess character meal. DD has many princess costumes and have got a Belle one for this meal.
For characters she is looking forward to meeting Jack Sparrow, Tiana & Alice and her friends. She met Tiana at WDW and they had a strange conversation about using their dresses to glide like a parachute, this makes me laugh now after seeing the DLP advert, a strange coincidence or what!!
Though DD has never seen the POTC films she loves the character Jack Sparrow and thinks he is really funny. She is also really into Alice in Wonderland, at the moment and loves wearing her Alice dress, it is her favourite costume and the one she wears most at home.
Our plans really are just to enjoy the parks and restaurants. I am looking forward to getting to ride ToT as DD doesn't like it so don't get the chance to ride it when it is just the two of us.
Cafe Mickey is also a must for us every trip!
