We will be in Disney between Thanksgiving and Christmas. My mom is going with us for the first time since 1993, and we want to do something special and fun for her and our boys (10 and 7). Has anyone done this cruise? Would it be fun for all?

It is fun for all. Meet and Greet and pictures with Captain Hook and Smee. Lots of treats to eat beforehand. Everyone got a pirate bandana. The pirate guides on the boats are hysterical. Humor for the whole family. We had a great view of the fireworks and it was lovely to see the electric water parade. Tinkerbell met us as we came back (a big hit with my 6 year old daughter!).

It was a nice relaxing night. We all enjoyed it.

glad to hear we are also thinking about doing this around the same time next year also.

My DH and I did this cruise 2 years ago-it was our 25th wedding anniversary. I couldn't get the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party so I booked this. It was fun! They gave us bandannas to wear and the treats were okay. If I remember correctly they had Mickey Ice Cream Bars, fruit, cookies, lemonade, water, chocolate gold doubloons, popcorn in sealed bags and I am sure much more I can't remember. They sang songs and we danced to "Kiss the Girl" (The Little Mermaid). So, it is fun for adults too !

We've done the private Wishes cruise. Compare prices. That was fantastic, just your family and the boat captain. There were simple snacks (pretzels, chips, cookies & drinks) & you can order whatever you want.

We did it on a Hallowishes night, so if there is MVMCP fireworks plan it for that night.

We did this Pirate fireworks cruise in May 2014 and we (DH, DD and myself) loooved it. Meeting Hook and Smee beforehand was great and the snacks were plentiful (go hungry! We'd had dinner at Boma earlier and couldn't enjoy much of the food they had out). Our guide, Patch (I think they're all named Patch) was hysterical and the singing and trivia were a ton of fun (every kid gets a prize). Great view of the fireworks w/o the crowds (music is piped in the boat) and the real highlight was having Peter Pan greet us when we got back to the Contemporary. It was the best character interaction of our trip - he really took his time with everyone, talking, asking questions, really really great. I've recommended it to many people and a friend/colleague at work just went last week with his family and loved it and another colleague is booking it for her upcoming August trip.

We loved it so much a couple of years ago that we are doing this time since DH will be with us. It's a fun night and a different view. We have also done the Tomorrowland Dessert Party and my daughter and sister said they liked this experience better.

We had a blast! Awesome way to take in the fireworks. We dressed the kids up as pirates and my daughter got asked to carry the flag out to the boat. If it wasn't so pricey, we'd do it again in a heartbeat! Have fun!
