"Pirate, Your Reputation Precedes You!" The Stitchs Do WDW & The Dream! New 9/7!

That looks like a really fun time, the Aqua Duck looks really cool! Good for D, going up the Mickey slide all by himself!

What a great afternoon at the pool! I'm glad that so many people went to Nassau so the crowds weren't bad for you. D looks so excited to be riding the slide, how cute!! When we did our Disney cruise (years ago) my younger brother absolutely loved the Mickey slide, he rode it over and over lol

I have been lurking here reading this trip report. I have to tell you I have really enjoyed reading along and looking at your photos! This last group of photos are great...especially the ones of your ear to ear smiling son!

Good call on swimming while the ship was in port. I'm sure the pools were much more manageable. Watching a movie on Funnel Vision must be pretty cool. I can't wait to do that. Did you have any plans in Nassau? (You may have mentioned if you did but I can't remember.) Here is a weird question - How wet do you get on AquaDuck? I'm only asking because we are going to try to ride it as soon as we board but if I'll get really soaked (like hair and all) I may wait for later in the trip. We have so much we want to do on that first day between exploring the ship, visiting the Kid's Club and the Sail Away Party I don't want to have to worry about styling my hair again (not that it takes long to do but I don't think I'll be able to squeeze in even 10 mins. to do it.)

Happy Birthday, D! :thumbsup2

All caught up! Love your report! Glad to see another Disney trip after straying away from the DIS so long ago and missing the end of your last TR! (I'll have to go back and see how it ended!)

I love the idea of slightly out-of-the-norm Disney trips (only one park for a few days like you guys did, or the idea of a resort only trip) and I'm DREAMING of a Disney cruise someday! Especially on a shorter cruise, I think I would've also stayed onboard at Nassau - where it's a stop for SO many cruise lines, I'm sure I'd see it someday, and IMO, you're paying for the ship!

Can't wait for more and good to see you guys again!

just caught up on your TR - sounds, er, reads like you are having a great cruise so far. We definitely want to do that some day but are planning to wait until the kids are a little older (currently 4yrs and 20mths)

Love all of your pictures! Your son takes some great ones! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the awesome report! I leave on the 1st for my Dream adventure and I'm definitely collecting some tips from this TR! I'm hoping to do Cabanas on boarding day, but I think we'll eat breakfast at Enchanted Garden :rotfl:

I want to try the AquaDuck so badly! It looks like so much fun!

Dalton is a champ for going on that slide on his own :cheer2:

I love that they show movies while you're at the pool, that just sounds like it would be awesome!

I saw on Twitter that they're workshopping a Tangled musical for the Disney Cruise Line...it's in the early early stages but that would probably be my biggest motivation to take a Disney cruise!

I swear, the Aqua Duck is like the #1 reason I want to take a Disney Cruise :rotfl: Great pics!!

I have to be honest. . .it was for me, too!! I loved it! And thank you!!

The AquaDuck was terrific! Yes, I was so proud of him. . .but really surprised!!

Yep, the Mickey slide is still his favorite part--he still talks about it! It was a wonderful time at the pool. . .I don't know if we'll ever get off the ship in Nassau!

Cute pics! :)

Thank you!! :)

Awww, thank you!! And yay for coming out of lurkdom! I appreciate the compliments--he definitely lights up our world! And. . .GO BLUE DEVILS! :yay:

We didn't have any set plans, other than "maybe we'll go to Hard Rock". . .so it wasn't hard to give that up! On the AquaDuck, my hair got pretty wet. I have thinner, fine short hair, and I definitely would have had to completely redo it to make it to dinner. I would wait til later in the trip, but that's just me! And thank you! I can't believe he's 5!!

Thank you!! I bet you will love the Disney Cruise when your kids get a little older--D still thinks it was the best vacation ever!! Thank you for the compliments on the pictures!

YAY!! I hope you have a wonderul, wonderful time!! Enchanted Garden was AWESOME! D recommends the chocolate chip muffin! ;)

Hi everyone!! Sorry for being MIA! Last week was crazy busy, and today, D started kindergarten! I cannot believe it!! Thanks for sticking with me! Here's another update!

Ahhh. . .lunchtime! We finally got D out of Nemo’s Reef with the promise that he could have whatever he wanted for lunch. We went to Flo’s V-8 Café (the “food court” area next to the pool). They have TONS of different offerings—pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, salads, etc. Everything looked terrific! So terrific, in fact, that I got pizza AND a Panini (shhhhh. . .don’t tell!!). D, of course, got chicken nuggets! He loved that all of it was CARS-themed!

What was really nice was to sit by the window and look at that GORGEOUS view!!

If only I could have that view at lunch EVERY DAY!! After lunch, D figured out that there was ICE CREAM! So, off Brian went to get them some ice cream. D was Mr. Relaxed with his strawberry cone!

When we finally finished our yummy lunch (and I’m still not sure which was better—pizza or Panini), we headed back to our room to take a nap! First, though, I had to get a pic of my guys in the atrium!

Happy kindergarten to D!

No shame with the food from me - I probably would've topped off that pizza and panini with a side of fries and ice cream :thumbsup2 Even if it is the same exact food that you could find on land, the pictures of food just look so much better when they come from a cruise ship! Looks nice and relaxing!

Kaitlin starts Kindergarten in the fall. How did D like it?

He loved it! He actually cried today when the teacher told him it was time to go home. I hope Kaitlin loves it too!!

Happy first day of kindergarten to D!! I hope he had a blast!!

Thank you!!! :)

Same here! what an exciting time!

Thanks for the food pics!

Thank you!! And you're welcome--I so love food pics!!

I was all about the food, and you are so right! It even tastes better because of the ship! SO good!!!

Thank you!!!

The food offerings by the pool look great and very kid-friendly. I'm sure it was difficult getting D out of the pool/water play area to eat.

I'm glad D is enjoying kindergarten. My boys start 2nd grade on the 26th. They are getting too big too quick. It makes this mommy sad. :sad1:

Aww, congrats to D on starting Kindergarten!
Wow, I would love to eat lunch with a view like that! Looks really yummy too!
