"Pirate, Your Reputation Precedes You!" The Stitchs Do WDW & The Dream! New 9/7!

How strange that you heard a 'no photos' announcement! I've always taken pics on Dumbo! Love that D already appreciated the Disney details. :goodvibes

you are too funny Brooke! we do have a cute saying "Megan's one smart cookie" its a snickerdoodle (my favorite)!

did have a great Mother's day! Megan made me a sweet card, some favorite candies and a cute candle! lunch and a little bit of shopping with my girl!

hope your guys spoiled you!!!

cute photos of the speedway and Dumbo, weird about the photos though :confused3

did D get his toy the next day???

Where were we headed for one of D’s favorites?? You guessed it!

Tomorrowland Speedway!

Kaitlin LOVED this one too. You made me laugh at the comment about juggleing the video camera and the still camera. I was not so successful in that task. I miss D's squishy face from last year, but it's great to see his "real" face now. What a cutie.

I was 5 updates behind--Thank goodness you have chapter links! I enjoyed reading about your morning at MK. Sounds as if breakfast was delicious and that D got his fill of The new Fantasyland.

Great PP pics! :)

Not to use cameras while Dumbo was flying? Huh! That's a new one! I sure used my camera on it.
Love the pics of D on the Speedway! So cute!

Catching up! Love all your pics - lol, I totally feel for you, I sometimes have three different cameras to juggle too. ;) I've never seen that Chip photopass shot before, so cute!

Really enjoying your trip! A little sad that D no longer does his scrunchie face :) We leave in 9 days! Woo hoo!

Hi everyone!! I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, I promise! Last week was our graduation week, and we had ceremonies almost every night. I will be back tonight with replies and updates! Thanks for reading along! Have a wonderful Monday!! :)

Our kids love Tomorrowland Speedway! Wait times for this one can be surprisingly long though.

That is an odd announcement on Dumbo about not taking pictures in flight. It's not like it's a rough ride where you could drop the camera. Plus, I love taking pics of the family during flight!

The wait *does* get long for that one! I always try to encourage it early in the day!! I was shocked by the no photos one, too!!

I know--I hope they don't start enforcing that no photos thing!! Yep, he's all about the little stuff!!

So glad you had a terrific Mother's Day!! Sounds like a great day! and she IS a Smart Cookie! Oh, you KNOW D got that toy! ;) There was nothing doing but to get it! :rotfl:

I wasn't very successful either, and I kept freaking myself out thinking I was dropping one!! I miss the scrunchie face too! Thanks, though. . . I tell him he's growing up too quick!

Love the pics of D on the Speedway! So cute!

I definitely plan to continue using my camera there! I may encounter some sort of camera police, but we'll see! And thanks--he thought he was a real driver!!

Catching up! Love all your pics - lol, I totally feel for you, I sometimes have three different cameras to juggle too. ;) I've never seen that Chip photopass shot before, so cute!

That three camera thing should be an Olympic sport! I bet DIS'ers would take all of the medals!! I loved that Chip shot too. . I wanted her to let ME do it! ;)

I am joining along...

Hi!! Welcome aboard! Thanks for reading!!

Really enjoying your trip! A little sad that D no longer does his scrunchie face :) We leave in 9 days! Woo hoo!

Yay! Thanks!! I miss the scrunchie face too!! WOW!! 9 days?!?! That's awesome!! Are you beside yourself with excitement?

Ok, y'all. . .2 more updates coming below!!

I wasn’t really sure where the character area was, but as soon as I saw the HUGE Pete mouth for you to walk into, I was like, “Yeah, ok. Must be it.” :rotfl: We headed on in while Brian parked the stroller. D opted for the Goofy/Donald line first (you know, because they are not “grills” (girls) like Minnie and Daisy!).

First up was Goofy. D was a little unsure at first, but a few high-fives, and we were good to go!

It went about the same with Donald.

But by the time we were finished with Donald, D had worked up his bravery, and he was ready to pose by himself!

Since that went well and since the lines weren’t very long, we went right back around and in to meet Daisy and Minnie.

D was excited to meet Daisy, but wasn’t so thrilled about meeting Minnie.

He *did* give Minnie a high-five, but he wasn’t too ready to hang out for a while!

We headed out of there and on to D’s next “plan” for the day!

For months, D had been determined that he would check out the Splash-and-Play area at Storybook Circus. In my well-planned plan, I would have brought a change of clothes. I forgot. Yep. Forgot. Bad momma. As my penance, I agreed to go into the water area with him while Brian took pics.

For a while, D liked it. He thought it was funny to hop from one area to the next, just out of reach of the water.

I guess we did that for about 10 minutes. Then, he got a little braver and got a little closer. He thought that was great fun until somehow, the timers got synced together, and he got caught in a water tunnel that he couldn’t get out of. Everywhere he stepped, more water would spray from somewhere right onto him or in his face. I didn’t know whether to feel bad at how miserable he looked or laugh. So, I ran into the water tunnel and grabbed him.

At that point, he realized how really wet he was, and I think he got embarrassed, so he started to cry. Like the kind of crying where you’re just not going to talk him back down from it.

Blessings from Disney, though. . .up came Joe! Joe was a PhotoPass Photographer who was randomly taking pics in the Splash and Play Area. As I went to go buy D a towel, he took some pics of him (and of him and Brian) and entertained him by showing him his pictures. I really really love these!!

When I got back, I convinced D that the towel (the Perry the Platypus towel of which I was a brand-new owner) was magical. I wiped the “magic” onto his shirt, and then if he walked around, it would magically dry. Yes, lame. But the best I could come up with on short notice!

Joe took out a little bag and told D that it was his Disney Magic bag. He gave him a little gold “coin” out of the bag and told him it was a Magic Pirate Coin, and that it would speed up the drying and make the rest of his day terrific. D carried that coin EVERYWHERE for the rest of the trip! If it wasn’t in his hand, it had to be in one of our pockets. Joe DEFINITELY saved the day!!

Crisis averted, it was time to refuel! Where do we head for lunch? You’ll have to wait and see! :thumbsup2

I can't wait to see that M&G in person. It looks really well done. Great pictures!
So glad that D warmed up to the characters.

Joe sounds like an amazing CM!!! How great that he gave you guys the 'magic coin'! :goodvibes

I loved that M&G! Even when it was crazy-crowded in MK, that M&G never seemed crowded! And Joe was AWESOME! D still talks about him and that coin!! :goodvibes

love the M&G photos! happy D felt more comfortable with them! love their costumes, they are so cool!
Megan and I have an agreement now about M&G if its someone we haven't met or if they are in different outfits we have to meet them! guess where we will be in 6 months :thumbsup2

what a great CM to spread some pixie dust to D to make him feel better! and you were quick on your feet about the magic towel :thumbsup2

What a fantastic cast member Joe was. I love hearing stories about cast members who you can tell truly love their job.

OMG - that last picture of your son is TOO cute!!!!!!!! PP photographer to the rescue!

Your pictures in the tent are also really nice!

The funny thing about a Splash area is that NO kids can come out of it anywhere close to being dry. It's like tempting fate and fate (in the form of torrents of water) always wins.

Fun update!

Hi y'all!!! End of the school year is making work a little nuts! I will be back tonight to do replies and a couple of updates! Thank you for sticking with me!!

This coming Friday ends my school year (our regular year ended last Friday, but we work longer), so I will be hitting the updates hard after that!! Have a wonderful Tuesday!! :thumbsup2

Coming out of lurkdom to let you know how much I'm enjoying your updates, your family is precious! The chip magic photo is so adorable. I wonder if you went to BOG?? Can't wait to find out.

Aww, thanks!! I loved the Splash Area photos! I am like you--I don't think there's a way for kids to stay dry in that area! I thought we were doing good, and then glory hallelujah, there came the water!
