"Pirate, Your Reputation Precedes You!" The Stitchs Do WDW & The Dream! New 9/7!

We were all ready to refuel by this point, but we had one more stop to make before we headed to lunch. I should say this first: Brian and I USED to be organized park travelers. We used to go in order with the rides, follow the best plan around, and not cross park if we could help it. Now. . .not so much. I guess that it really didn’t matter as much this time since we only had two days and we were at the same park each day, but as I type the trip report, it’s kinda funny to me how we never did what you’re “supposed” to do! :rotfl:

Where did we head from the water area? Buzz Lightyear, Space Ranger!! Last year, D HATED this ride. He cried from beginning to end. Now, to be fair, it was right after the Great Splash Mountain Disaster of 2012, but he HATED it. So bad that even though I had the PhotoPass+, I didn’t get the ride pic. No need to relive that one.

However, he had agreed to ride it again, and actually seemed a little excited! He wanted to ride with me, and when we got there, the line wasn’t long at all. We hopped right in, and we were on in just a matter of minutes. I helped him figure out how to shoot, and he was battling the aliens in no time. He even outscored me! This time. . .I have ride photos!!

After saving the galaxy, one MUST have a pic with Zurg!

Then we decided to head to lunch. A quick detour to have some castle and Tomorrowland pics made, though, was a must!!

Gotta love those PhotoPass pics!

FINALLY (probably 30-40 minutes after we left the water area), we made it to our FAVORITE lunch destination. . .COLUMBIA HARBOUR HOUSE! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! In fact, I tell everyone that I help with Disney planning to go here at least once. So, so good!!

D & I found a table upstairs and relaxed while Bri went to get the food. I love just being in the upstairs area and relaxing. While we were looking out the window, I noticed that it was starting to get REALLY crowded. It didn’t seem that way when you were out in it (or maybe I didn’t notice because we had started so early), but there were LOTS of people out there!

Brian arrived with the food, and it was time to get some Disney goodness going! Brian and I had the chicken and fish combo, and D had chicken nuggets. I don’t know why this is, but the chicken nuggets they give adults in that meal are GOOD. The chicken nuggets they give kids are completely different and look like the potato patties they serve in my school cafeteria. Since that was the food with which D had a bad experience the day before, he immediately said, “Momma, that’s the BAD chicken. I can’t eat that.” Trying to avoid the crisis, I gave him my chicken and convinced him that if it looked like my chicken it was “good” chicken. Chicken—0, Momma—1!! Take that, Chicken!

We finished off the yummalicious meal with 1 of 2 reasons CHH is so awesome—apple pie!! I LOVE it, and I could probably eat 5. I don’t, but I probably could. (If you were wondering, the other reason CHH is so awesome is that they have “real” sweet tea! It tastes like someone brews it, instead of having that canned taste.)

Finished with lunch, we made a plan to head to the ONE place I was most excited to see in all of Magic Kingdom (after making LOTS of fun of me that it was the place I was most excited to see). Any guesses?? Another update coming tomorrow!!

Well, since you said you got made fun of, my guess will be one of the places I can't wait to see either... The Tangled restroom area! :) and if I'm wrong, you can make fun of me. lol

I love all the PP pics you've gotten!

Yay D tried Buzz again, we love that ride! great PP photos!
going to have to try that apple tart at CHH, looks yummy and a nice place for a break!

I think it must be the new restrooms too :thumbsup2 did you take photos??

We were so glad he would try it again! And that he made it through and loved it! That apple tart is yummalicious. . .definitely give it a try! Now. . .you just have to check out the next update! :goodvibes

Ahhh. . .finally getting to see the thing I was most excited to see!! Was it Ariel? Was it the work on the Dwarfs’ Mine Train? Oh no. It was a BATHROOM. Yep, a BATHROOM. Not just any bathroom, though. . .the TANGLED Restroom!!! It is just AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!

“Tangled” is a favorite movie for D & me. Bri hasn’t seen it, so the bathroom was little lost on him. However, it may be the only time in my life that I will go in a bathroom area and follow along in a line of people taking pics of the wall :lmao:.

So, here are my pics of the BEST BATHROOM EVER!!!

It was awesome! I loved it! I wish they would give Rapunzel her own “place”, but until they do, this is pretty cool!!

wow, that is so pretty! will add it to my list of photo ops :thumbsup2

I'm really excited to see the Repunzel bathroom too! It looks so pretty, the paintings are great! I'm also a huge fan of Tangled. :D

We love CHH too. Much to my surprise on our last trip, my family chose to eat at CHH twice on the same day. I was shocked! Love your pics. Can't wait to see That bathroom for myself. It's also one of my fav disney movies. So glad D's "flu" didn't last long.

New update coming below!!

First, a life update: It's been a crazy week! After 12 years at my current job, I have taken a new position at our District Office. Tomorrow is my "training" day, and then I start in July. Send some Pixie Dust my way that it goes ok! I'm excited but nervous! We are going to Pigeon Forge this weekend for a little getaway. . .hoping for some good weather so we can go to the water park! I hope everyone else's summers are going along nicely! :thumbsup2 Now for a Disney update:

After my bathroom excitement (that reads weird, but you know what I mean), we headed back to WL for a little break. We got a bus pretty quickly, and once again, we were the ONLY 3 people on the bus. Not sure if we smelled bad or something, but hey, thanks again for personal transportation!!

When we got back to our room, we found the coolest Mousekeeping creation!! The Mousekeeper had set up the towels into a racetrack, and had D’s buses racing on it! She also had George and Woody set up to watch. D thought it was amazing!

After a good nap, we all got up and got ready for what I thought would be such a fun exciting evening. . .dinner at “Be Our Guest”! We got down to the bus stop, took a few pics:

D practiced his bus-spotting skills, and in just a few minutes, we were on a bus and off to the Magic Kingdom. You’ll never believe this, but once again, we were the ONLY 3 people on the bus! Yay!!

The ride over was quick again, and we were into Magic Kingdom and ready for our night!!

what a cute towel animal! I imagine D must have been very impressed.

:worried: I suspect that your BoG evening might not have been super magical?

D thought that towel animal was the BEST ever!! As for BoG. . .updates coming below!! The good news is. . .we will not be in anyone's way to get an ADR at 180 days!! :rotfl:

And your trip is getting SO close!!! That's awesome!!

Ok. . .there were going to be updates tonight, but Photobucket has decided it hates me tonight. Updates coming tomorrow!! :thumbsup2

not just you....mine isn't working either!

Well, at least it's not just me!! ;)

I had intended to do 4 updates tonight, but Photobucket still isn't cooperating, so the two I already had fixed are coming below! :yay:

We were a little early for dinner, so we decided to stop and see Mickey first. It started looking like it might rain, but I was hoping it would hold off so that we could stay for Wishes. Mickey had NO line, and we went right in.

He was, of course, very excited to see us! ;)

I just love meeting Mickey there! I know some people have complained about it, but to me, there is just something magical about that set up!!

Mickey visit done, it was time to go to Be Our Guest. I had had this booked (like any good DIS’er) for 180 days. It was sprinkling by that time, but I was trying to ignore it. On the way over to check in, I saw one of the craziest things I have ever seen at WDW.

We were walking along in that crowded sidewalk area just as you come up to Be Our Guest. I was ahead of the guys because they were looking at something and were hanging back. Right in the middle of the walking area, there was a little boy who looked like he was about 2, sitting on the ground in the middle of the crowd SCREAMING HIS HEAD OFF. He was sobbing and screaming and screaming and sobbing. A college-aged young man walking ahead of me even stopped next to him and said, “Do you need help little buddy?” The little guy just kept screaming. I was looking around for a CM or for his parents, and I spotted a group of about 5 adults standing 10-20 feet ahead (with a lot of people in between) watching him. One of them said, “I TOLD him to come on but he wouldn’t.” Another lady (not related to them) heard her and said, “Way to go!! That’s right!! Stick to your guns!! He’ll LEARN not to behave like that!!” Now, I am not the parenting guru by any means, and I am also a proponent of make your kids behave. I’m just not sure that in a crowd of that size that that was the most effective way to prove that point. Maybe it was, I don’t know. It was just crazy. I was afraid someone would snatch the little boy and keep going, before the family viewing crowd would see him. I hope it all ended up ok!

Anyway, back to the regular story ;), I went up to the BOG window to check us in. It was raining pretty good (but not super-heavy) by that point. There were probably 30 people in line ahead of me. The CM lady kept saying loudly from her booth “WE HAVE NO OPENINGS TONIGHT. IF YOU DON’T HAVE AN ADR, YOU WON’T GET A SEAT.” And yet, the 10 people (one-by-one) ahead of me walked up and said, “Do you have any openings?” Bless the poor CM. By the time I got up there, her computer had crashed. The lady next to me was throwing a fit, asking when they thought they had an opening. One of the CM’s finally said, “We are booked for 180 days. 180 DAYS. I don’t think there will be an opening tonight.” It was kind of funny. ;)

Finally I got checked in, and we took a few pics outside while we waited for our buzzer to light up.

Then, our little ticket to Disney Dining magic lit up, and into the castle we went! Just after we went inside, it started POURING. I guess it was pixie dust that we made it inside the doors before that!

Next up. . .where will we sit? Will it live up to the hype? Or, as I should title it, “Will we survive this meal?”

Back from our trip and all caught up. We actually ate at CHH for the first time while we were there on your suggestion:thumbsup2.

Isn't it always the case that those of us that are amazingly organized are the ones that forgot the one thing we need when we need it?:rotfl2:. So impressed with D's interaction with Joe the Photopass Photographer. It's memories like that that last forever.

Love your pictures with Mickey. MK is our favorite place to meet him also.

I was not surprised at all to hear about your experience with the little boy on your way to BoG. I saw way too much of that while we were there. IMO there is a time and a place and Disney is not it.

Glad you made it into BoG before the rain started. Can't wait to hear how dinner went.
