Pirate rooms at the Caribbean Beach Resort

Are the rooms small for 4 adults?

Yes, but it felt bigger than the old All-Star rooms before they remodeled and switched one of the beds to a Murphy bed. So I guess it depends what you are comparing it to.

Really haven’t stayed in a room with more than three of us. The last time we were there we stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort. Our daughter was 10 years old. Now she’s 21 and bringing a friend! So, kinda worried about the size of the room. Really, I’m worried about banging my head on the little thing that sticks off the side of the bed/headboard.

The beds are doubles, so I think from a sleeping standpoint it would be tight for 4 adults.

I remember reading somewhere that those mattresses are passable for kids but not comfy mattresses for adults. Maybe others can chime in?

I avoid rooms with double beds anywhere my family travels. Two Queen beds or Queen bed and bunk or four twin beds but never two double.

Combination of mattress and no box springs on the beds. The pirate bed is some form of platform bed. Double and very uncomfortable. I would never say in one.

All of them do, except the pirate beds at CBR. They are the only room with double beds in all of WDW

Oh my gosh! Of course!!!

Stay in any other area of CBR. You don't have to stay in a pirate room to get to the Skyliner

No. All of the Pirate rooms are in the same area. Everything in the area where they are is the same.
I suggest you look at a map. It is not necessary to stay in that one section

I would consider booking someplace else - Pop, perhaps, since it is also on the Skyliner, and then keep a watch for rooms to open at CBR. Personally, with 4 adults not all related to each other I would be looking for 2 rooms, but if not that definitely a room with 2 queens at minimum.

Consider Art of Animation suites (but not the Little mermaid rooms-add 10 mins of walking).

We stayed in the pirates room and it was the furthest room from everything (and we can do 25k steps a day). Also it was several bus stops on the internal bus and luggage drop off was separate from the main building; the entie layout was confusing and time consuming waiting for the internal bus. We almost missed DME because the bus didn’t show up for 30 mins (we used an emergency phone located inside the stop to call them.). The room looks good, but tired kids get over the theming pretty fast. You had to take the internal bus to go to the pool.

We vowed to never stay at CBR ever again.
