Our lives are pretty much made of two dates and a dash. The dates we are born and die. The dash is everything we do in our lives! As a family we really want to make that dash count! To always "make a memory". Life is an adventure and we love it that way. We typically look at things, take them as they come & find a way to make it the best possible adventure.

For explanatory purposes, one must know who the adventurers are.
Pirate Mickey – 53-year-old husband & dad that loves 3 things. God, his family & all things Disney! He is super organized, an analytical over-planner (but still open-minded to impulsive changes), loves surprising his family with Disney trips & when he isn’t at Disney, he is probably planning a non-existent trip. He works in an extremely analytical job so “letting loose” and laughing & spending down time with family in his “happy spot” is important to him. He lives in a house with 3 insane dogs, kids (both his own and all their friends) coming & going like a revolving door, and a Disney crazy ukulele playing (not good) wife!

Whispy Pixie – 53-year-old wife & mom that always loved Disney, but until I got married had NEVER been to a Disney park. Now, I am a WDW Addict! I love my husband & 4 kids (all 18+ now) more than anything & love spending time with them. Passionate about kids, my church family, music, movies, baking & photography (not very good at it..lol). We honestly don’t have any part of memories of not “raising” our kids (all 4 adopted blessings) at Disney and I suppose I have also adopted the “growing up is optional” phrase as my personal mantra.
E-Rex – 18-year-old spoiled baby girl of the family. For information sake….her dad and her older siblings are completely and totally responsible for spoiling this kid. Pretty sure that if a Disney trip was planned & she wasn’t included she would spontaneously self-combust. Generally, a happy teen that turns into an over joyous young lady the moment she steps onto Disney property. This kid has grown up at WDW, identifies Ohana as “OUR” family restaurant and knows more Disney facts than most her age should know. On a side note, when we planned this trip we “jokingly” told her this was just a trip for Pirate & Me. She looked back and forth at each of us while we kept straight faces and she covered her face as it reddened and started balling!! Not spoiled crying, a heart wrenching sob of “oh my gosh I am not going with them cry”!!! Needless to say, we didn’t let her cry for too long. Pirate couldn’t take it and confessed his trickery!

Sidenote: Our Disney twins that are 25-years-old would typically be on this trip but one of them is leaving on a WDW trip tomorrow for a Bachelorette Party & the other twin will be at WDW the first part of April & then again 2 weeks later coaching his cheerleading teams. So, they are simply out of luck for this trip!! The oldest DS is hitting up NY with his girlfriend for her birthday, so he too is out of luck..lol
The Basics: 6 day, 6 nights, staying at Port Orleans Riverside AB, park hopper passes, regular dining plan (1st time ever), flying Southwest nonstop.
This trip originated from the overwhelming “Disneyitis” that each of us have been suffering from for the past 6 months! It has been really prevalent with everyone living in this house! We, of course are disguising it as a one-month late wedding anniversary trip (yeah 27 years!!). Regardless the reason…WE ARE GOING TO WDW!
Over 10 years ago, I wrote Pirate & Pixie's Traveling Circus Trip Report & had a blast doing it....so gonna try to do this again!
