Pirate night?

I am getting ready to go on our 1st cruise - Jan 22nd. I read that St. Maarten night was tropical night... I was just reading threads that said it was pirate night. Hmmmm... I want to pack clothing we will use and be comfortable in - my husband is not a flower shirt kind of guy , but would wear it if it were tropical night. Is there any way to find out what the theme is for certain?

They have changed Tropical Night to Pirate Night, but tropical wear is fine to wear also. When we sailed in September, there were several people in tropical shirts.

I didnt realize they got rid of tropical night to replace it with Pirate Night on the 7 night sailings. I thought it was in addition to that. On the 10 night we got have both which was really cool.

Thanks for the info... I think I will just bring his shirt and not mention the change of theme
