We are doing the 7 night 6/11/17 cruise to Northern Europe. I see on the itinerary that there is a Frozen deck party. I don't see a pirate night. Is there a pirate dress-up on that cruise? Don't want to haul pirate costumes if there is no pirate party.

Frozen the Night Away is instead of Pirate night. It's sort of odd to have Pirates in Europe (with bandanas that say Pirates in the Caribbean)
No need to bring a pirates costume

Totally agree that Frozen is a more appropriate theme than pirates in Scandinavia! Daughter is too old for princess costumes, so I guess we don't need any theme attire.

No Pirates - No Fireworks on Northern European cruises. We enjoyed the Frozen show on our cruise 2 years ago. Didn't even miss the pirates.

We did the Baltic Capitals cruise two years ago and they did have a pirate night. They also were testing out the Frozen deck party (I thought it was rather lame...just a glorified sail away party for 20 minutes that Elsa and Anna only appeared in in the last couple of minutes). Saw it last Sept. twice on a b2b med/trans and we had two pirate nights as well. The Frozen event was better (more "snow" and characters), but without a special buffet. The dinner menu each time was Frozen-inspired, as were the decorations around the ship, a special scavenger hunt, and redo of one of the bars into the Snuggly Duckling.
As I said, we also had pirate nights, complete with deck show, buffet and costumes. DCL may have cut out pirates on this cruise...give them a call. As far as I know, the only non-pirate cruises are to Alaska and maybe Norway where it is too bright at 9:30 or so at night for the fireworks to show up. By the way, the TANGLED show was awesome.

I was on the Northern European 2 years ago, and they did not have pirate night. Prior to Frozen being released there was Pirate night but it was awkward as all things send "Caribbean" and we were in the Mediterranean

I am not expecting a Pirate Night but I am hoping we will have the new Pirates movie, due out May 26th.
