Does anyone know what night is the Pirate night on a 5 night Halloween cruise to Bermuda on the Magic from NYC? Thanks!

I'm on the Sept 30th sailing and our pirate night is day 4, the day we leave Bermuda.

Oops! Ours is day 4 when we leave Bermuda also. I don’t know why I put it as the second night that is our Halloween night. I even have it listed correct in our meets thread I made but wrote it wrong here. I fixed my post here.:thumbsup2

Hi,

Just booked our FIRST:-)8-):Po_O Disney Cruise, and we're taking advantage of decent pricing and fortuitous school vacation days to travel on the Magic from Oct 5-10th.
I see the the Pirate activity at the boutique is on the 4th day, so I assume Pirate night will also be on the 4th night for us as well.

On a 5 night cruise, we'll dine in 2 MDRs twice, and one MDR once. Is there a chance that pirate night would be in the MDR that we eat in only once, and thus never get the normal menu in that DR? Or could pirate night be when we eat in the same DR that had the "welcome aboard" menu, and thus never eat the normal menu in that dining room?

I've read that the pirate night menu tends to be the least liked, can you offer suggestions as to why that is? Is the quality usually worse? Do you think it's just personal taste for most cruisers, etc? We're considering booking Palo for that night, but also wouldn't want our child to miss the festivities. Any tips for trying to do the activities with our child, and then drop him off at the club while we have our dinner?

Finally, for now, do you know if the Halloween night/trick or treat/masquerade is separate from the pirate night (on a 5 day cruise)? If so, is there any way to know which night that will be? This one, I know we will not want to miss.

Thanks!

On our cruise right before yours I’ve been told that we will be in the same restaurant on the first and last night, the same restaurant on the third and fourth nights with pirate night being the fourth night, and then your single night restaurant on day 2. There might have been a less confusing way to say that. But here’s the rotations according to someone who spoke to shoreside:
LARRL
ARLLA
RLAAR

When we went in 2019 Halloween was separate from pirate night.

@Ronneeaght Thank you very much! I've tried to educate myself in the DCL lingo, and I think your explanation is very clear and as concise as possible.
I also had a really hard time formulating my question, and wasn't sure if it made sense to anyone but me.

I'm excited we were able to snag a reservation to Palo on pirate night.

One other question, what is the general schedule of activities for both the early and late dinners on pirate night? Is there one party at the end of the night, or do they split it up like the other entertainment?

Nice! Same here- price, school schedule, and we live in Brooklyn so it's very easy for us to get there! Enjoy!

If I recall correctly, there is just one pirate show after 2nd seating, but someone who has gone more recently could confirm.

On a 5-night cruise on the Magic, expect to have the standard menu for each of the three MDRs, the Pirate menu, and ‘Til We Meet Again” on the last night.

I like to skip the Pirate menu, as I am not a fan of Caribbean spices. And have things I really enjoy from other menus. Here is the Pirate Menu.

Again I’m thinking:

Night 1: Crusie Attire
Night 2: Halloween
Night 3: Formal / Dress Up
Night 4: Pirate
Night 5: Crusie Attire

There are many reasons I love this board, but one of them is that- despite all the research I have done- I still learn new things.

What is "Til We Meet Again?" Thanks for any guidance!

‘Til We Meet Again. Standard last night dinner on a 5-night cruise (and probably others >5 days).

If you sail one a 3-night cruise, you will have the menu for a specific MDR on the night you go to the dining room. You will not see the same menu a second time until your next cruise (and some menus are used on multiple ships. Only the restaurant name changes.). Rapunzel’s is unique to the Magic.
