I have been on three Disney cruises, and I really haven't gotten into dressing up for Pirate Night. I have two cruises planned within the next year (December 2016 and June 2017). I'm considering dressing up for these two cruises. Can anyone recommend how you did a great men's pirate costume at a cheap price? I still have several of the Pirate Mickey bandanas I can put to good use.

If you live by a pop up party store like spirit they have a big sale nov 1st

I have several versions of pirate costumes (captain, first mate and deckhand) and I would recommend as a start to check out local used clothing stores (you can probably find a good leather vest or pants you can cut to make sailor slops. You can also find some decent priced clothing like pirate shirts and pants on Etsy. The most expensive item I paid for was my custom pirate hats (I own four custom pirate hats), my matching leather belt and baldric and captains coat. I did make a leather baldric with an old leather belt and leather rivets. Here's a picture of my captain pirate costume which was my first pirate costume.

We went the easy way for my husband's costume. I bought some black felt and made a long vest, with gold rick-rack trim. He wore a white long-sleeved shirt (left open at the top) and black pants. We bought a Pirate hat to top it off.

Doesn't take much packing room, and the white shirt & pants can be worn for nicer dress.

Halloween stores right after halloween. Also any thrift store.

We also bought cheapo hats from Michael's. They are foam and like a buck a piece.
