Pirate game humor....

While playing a game of Pirates of the Caribbean with my DH CL_capecad just a few minutes ago, I noticed that his ship disappeared from the screen. This happens occasionally, but not too often because he's really good at pirates, so I thought maybe he had gotten disconnected during the game. Since his desk is just a few feet away from mine, I called out to him, "Where did you go?!"

His answer, spoken quite seriously was,

"If I get shot, do I not sink?"



(For those who are not familiar with it, his reply was a reference to a famous William Shakespeare quote: "If you prick us do we not bleed? If you tickle us do we not laugh? If you poison us do we not die? And if you wrong us, shall we not revenge?") THAT'S why his comment was so funny, and I really was Laughing Out Loud!

He may have exploded. Exploding can only happen when you are a dead ship (Gray ship). Keep clicking, and your last bombs (more like fire) would get the enemies.

There is a bug where you just disappear while attempting to explode, and no fire gets exposed, Could that be it?

I like to start a game by typing "Chips ahoy!" because that's what it sounds like the guy is saying.

Another tidbit of pirate game humor:

From the night when CapeCAD and 3 other people (I think they were DISers!) were ALL on the red side, and somehow I ended up on the blue side by myself....

As the game began and I saw ALL of those red ships inching their way towards me and I knew that I didn't have a chance, this came to mind, and I typed it out on the screen...

"Dead girl sailing!"

And sadly.... I was!
