Pirate birthday cake- Photo's

anyone made one??
Its Charlie's 3rd birthday today and he is having a birthday party on Sunday- its a pirate and princess theme, and I have said I will have a go at making a pirate boat shaped cake!:eek:
can anyone give me some tips on how to make one please!! :flower3:
 
i havent made one,but i did a quick search and found this site with instructions on how to make one:

so by the looks of it you just get 4 cakes,cut them in half and sandwich together,then ice and decorate it

We have just celebrated our 25th anniversary with a pirate and princess partyand we had cakes for this. If you check out the last page of the dispuds thread on this esction there is some pictures there for some insparation.
Would post a link to it if I knew how.

Here is the Treasure chest that me and my 8 yr old great nephew made, there were more gold coins on there, but Charlie kept picking them off!!

Great cake Jeanette. I remember making a treasure chest cake when my girls were little - funny how the chocolate coins don't last long around young children
