Pirate and tea party excursions ?????

Hey! Has anyone ever signed their kids up for the pirate excursion or the wonderland tea party? How long did they last? Did you think it was worth the money? We're debating whether or not to purchase them for our kids as xmas gifts for our upcoming trip in May. Any info would be much appreciated!

My dd is 4 and she is very very excited about these "no adults" events, as she has just started school, and has got very independant. We are looking forward to a cocktail ot two and some chilling time !

Oh that's awesome!!!! I had thought about having my 9 and 5 year olds try the pirate one and my 6 year old the tea party. But now I think it might be nice to have them all together at one event! I thought it would be cool to make some kind of pirate party invitations for each of them to open xmas morning! If anyone has pics I'd love to print them out!!!!!

My kids did the Pirate Cruise from the GF in August 04. They had a great time. They put them in special pirate bandanas with Mickey Ears, life jackets, and load them on the boat. I forget how long they were gone...hubby and I went ot the GF Cafe for breakfast, and when we went to pick them up we could hear the kids singing all the way in. They had lunch- smuckers crustables, a drink and a treat, and each child got a treasure box filled with "pirate booty". They still talk about how much fun they had. They did the Grand Adventures in Cooking as well, and they enjoyed it, but not as much as the Pirate Cruise.

My kids just went on the pirate cruise on 9/25. My son is 9 and My daughter is 7 they had a lot of fun with it. It is 2 hours long. You check in at 9:15- the boat sets sail at 9:30 and the kids are back by 11:30. We explored GF and ate breakfast at the GF cafe.

I will ASK but I dont expect to get, two extra bandanas, IF I do, i will post them to you, and you could wrap them up for a pressie. If not I will take some photos without my DD in them, so you can print out and put in your cards. Your kids are lucky to have such thoughtful parents!

my two 4 year old girls did wonderland tea party in Jan 06. They thought it was great. They do it at 1900 Park Fare. Only the kids go. It probably took one hour. The decorate cupcakes and get to eat dessert first then I think they have chicken fingers, etc. They get a special picture and bring mom a little special treat. We did it the first day we got to WDW but didn't want to use our park tickets that day so it was a fun thing to do. Alice and I think the Mad Hatter are there.

When you call and make the reservation, let them know that your child is allergic to peanut butter and they will make a substitution. I've seen on these boards several times that they have done that for other guests.

our 3 girls did the tea party last month, they're 7, 7, and just turned 3. They all loved it! I was worried about the youngest, she had just turned 3 that day, but they were fine with her. We dropped them off, parents were chased away, the kids played games, decorated a cupcake (which they ate), pb&j and ham & cheese sandwiches, strawberries/grapes/in a sort of fruit cocktail, apple juice tea, and snacks like pretzels and chips. This is what the older 2 are telling me as I type. They took pictures with Alice and the Mad Hatter, each child gets one and they try to put siblings in the pics together. We have 2 of the twins together and 1 on the younger one, she refused to get in the pic with Mad Hatter. The parents started to gather outside the doors a few minutes before they were suppossed to be done and several were trying to peek in the doors. They cm's had the kids all hide, then jump up and yell "No Peeking". They loved that! The whole thing was a little over an hour. They let the parents in to take pictures of the table at the end. Each of the kids had a present, non-edible, for their mothers.
