Ok. What's the deal with the Pirate Adventure/Cruise? what exactly is it and where?
I want details! :-)

I signed my kids up for this summer, so I can't reply on how they'll like it, but I tell you what I know. It leaves from the dock at Grand Floridian several mornings a week. The children go for a boat ride and then dock at an island to find "hidden" treasure. They are given a packed lunch. It lasts from 9:30-11:30. It is $28.17 per child and I think the ages are 4-12. If you search the disney websites(not WDW, but allearsnet,wdwinfo...), you can find plenty of info.

Our gd went on it a couple of years ago and loved it. She was 7 years old at the time. I would definitely recommend it. By the way, allow yourself extra time to make sure you are there on time. My nephew had booked his son for it on there last trip and they were using Disney transportation (buses) and they arrived late and he missed the boat.

We had our kids do it last December. They were 3 and 6 at the time. I guess the 3 year old was supposed to be 4, but they let me book it and pay for it, so they let her on the boat.

Anyhow....;)

They both loved it. We took the one out of the Grand Floridian. We could see them coming back across the lagoon about 11:20, and they were singing:

Yo ho ho a pirates life for me!

The landed on an island and searched for a buried treasure, which of course they found!

They really had a good time, it was something that was good for both girls and BOYS!

I would recommend it to you!

My three did it last summer. Dd (7), dd (5) and ds (turned 4 right before trip). They had a ball - so much so that they are doing it again this year.

There is also a cruise out of the Y&BC. Same kind of activities, but called the Albatross cruise. When I was trying to get my son on the sold out pirate cruise, I checked back quite a few times before a CM mentioned that there was space on the Albatross Cruise, which we booked. Phew!
