:bounce: :Pinkbounc We have ressies for our first Hoop De Doo! We have never been to Fort Wilderness. Would someone please post directions to PH once we arrive at FW!! Thanks!!

My favorite way to get there is to go to the MK (or Contemporary) and take the boat to Ft Wilderness. Follow the path up from the boat dock, take your first right, and Pioneer Hall is there!

Depending on the time of your show, after the show you may need to take a bus - many are waiting after the show to take you to your resort.

Pioneer Hall -

Must agree with IloveWDW2003 that taking the boat is the neatest way to get there. PH is a real short walk from the dock whereas driving to FW involves taking an internal bus after parking. We usually hit the 7:15 show and are able to watch the EWP from the beach near Pioneer Hall on the way back to the dock. You will have a great time at the HDD. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!

:o I guess I should clarify...we will be in our own car. Can we park at the Contemporary and take the boat ? I was thinking that wasn't allowed so we were going to drive.

One more , what's EWP? I know that's probably a dumb question! What time does it start? We will be at the 7:15 HDD.

Thanks all!:bounce:Pinkbounc

OK, I just looked up EWP under abbreviations so now I know it is the Electric Water Pageant which sounds awesome. Help me get this straight ,please. We can drive to FW and park. WE will then take an internal bus to PH for the HDD. When we leave we can watch the EWP at the dock. Then we can get a bus back to our car which will be parked at FW. Do I have it?

I need to be there an hour early to get my Tickets. Now with the bus thing factored in what time should we arrive at FW...I would rather be early than late and we will not be at a park that day so we are flexible!

I would also like to know if it is allowed for us to park at Cont and take the boat to PH. If it is ok, that would be fun. I would not do it otherwise.

Parking at the CR is allowed for the HDDR. There is a limit of three hours, which is plenty of time.

I would park at the CR if possible. The internal buses at FW can be aggravating.

We've been to the Hoop 4 times, and have our 5th scheduled for October. I guess there are people out there who think we are crazy, but it is really fun for us. It keeps the kids occupied while we get to eat!

Also, if you have any food requests (vegetarian, etc) be sure to tell them a few days ahead and they'll make up something special for you. Also, if your kids might want something other than the regular fare, they can whip something up for them as well. Just tell them ahead of time so they can prepare! We love the regular fare that they serve, but they have accomodated special requests made by our family members over the years.

Thank you so much for all of your great information!! I do need to ask for special food for my dd. I read somewhere that they would prepare mac and cheese for kids. Do I still need to request it early?

Will we be able to take a boat back to CR or will we have to take the bus?

Does anyone have any info on EWP. I found out what it is but not much other info!

Thanks for all of the help! This is our first HDD and I can't wait! These boards are great! :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Hi again,

Just a couple of things: You will be able to take the boat back to the Contemporary. The EWP can be viewed from the beach near PH, but I don't think from the dock itself. If you are staying onsite your HDD tickets can be picked up at your resort, which would save you some time. Have a magical time!! Bob

No - I think they keep Mac and cheese on hand. You should be fine telling your wait staff when you arrive. It's the pastas and pizza, stuff like that you'll need to call ahead and arrange.

Have fun!
