Hi there to all our pinfriends around the world...we are just back from a brilliant weekend at the Disneyland Paris Resort and here is all you need to know now before i fall into my bed:

1. The Mickey Laniere Pin was released property wide :-(( early..... late and appeared in small quantities in nearly every shop. It is individually numbered ( laser engraved !!) and sold out more than quickly.

2. The Halloween pumpkin and two more halloween pins are NOT a L.E. Pin, it is glow in the dark looks very very nice and is still available in numbers all over the park and the hotels !!! So be aware you trade for a very nice pin but not a L.E. ( The head of pintrading in DLP said it is L.E. 10000 but i have my doubts !!)

3. Now to the most intersting pin : The Disneyland Paris Pintrading Pin. It was only available on CM lanyards early in the morning. One per lanyard and was not refilled later that day or today, so i guess there are not more than 200 around right now. You can NOT purchase it , only trade for it and they are all gone !!!

4. All CM lanyards were stocked with exactly the same pins by the manufacturer. ( They did not receive their full range of different styles due to production problems!!) They were NOT refreshed this morning or will be over the next days !!!

5. New L.E. pins will appear weekly starting in december !! All infos on Dizpins !!

6. I am soooooo tired, my wife is too and most important thing :

we have all the pins available for trading in very small quantities !!!!

Ready....set....go......

Sounds like you had fun... Glad to hear it.

Thank you for sharing your DLP adventure! When will you be back for more pin trading fun?!

Hi Megaelch,
I just sent you some e-mail. I love that Mickey head pumpkin.
Also, we never did get together for that German rum raisin chocolate you promised to bring me at the MGM event. We have to talk. Peggie

for the real life account of the DLP pin trading opening!

I keep checking Dizpizs but it doesn't have an update of the pins so we can order...
Sounds like you were successful in getting the pins! Wonderful!
Thanks again,
Holycow

Could we get a price range on these pins?

Also what are the pins made of, from the pictures it looks like there are more enamel and domed enamel type as opposed to the cloisonne which are common at DL and WDW?

And a semi-related question how do we handle our trader pins through customs? I'm going to DLP in April (US --> UK --> DLP --> UK --> US) and was planning on bringing some traders.

I feel comfortable with what I can bring back to the US, but I'm not sure about the UK and France customs. Is it correct that whatever I buy in France is not subject to duty when entering the UK because of the EU agreement (and vice-versa)? And should I assume that my traders I bring from the US will not be considered "personal use" property and would thus be subject to duty if the value is over the limit?

Hi there...
to clear some things up.... everything you bring in from EU countries to other EU countries for your personal use.. ( 15 bottles of rum 1000 cigarettes, 5 donkeys :-))) is subject to no taxes or anything else.. free travel around europe !!! I personally never had any problems with my pins when i traveled to the US and back ( not in the UK, Germany and Switzerland) so when they see the pins and they did see you are a collector and brought them for trading they let you pass. When you want to make sure.. go to your customs officer in the US before leaving ( at the airport) and declare your pins as travelling out and coming back with you.. ( i do not know the name of it in english) and you will not have any problems at all.
And please make yourself known before you come, i would we glad to meet you here in europe. ( i live in Munich / germany .. well worth a trip)

Stephan

Hi all,

When Dizpins releases the list of pins available for purchase from DL Paris, there will be 3 different prices on the pins / pin sets. The pricing on the pins in French Francs will be as follows:

39 FF = 5.36 USD
59 FF = 8.11 USD
99 FF = 13.61 USD

at todays conversion rates

The correlation between US $ and French Francs changes every minute, but this should be used as a very good guide.

The shipping charges should be converted as follows based on todays rates:

48 FF = $6.60 1 - 25 pins
56 FF = $7.70 26 - 50 pins

I hope this helps you all in your Paris Pin adventures!

- David
