Hi everyone!

On a previous trip I ate some yummy pineapple bread at the Polynesian, but I cannot remember if it was at Ohana or Kona cafe, breakfast or dinner. It was like cake!!!

Anyone know what I am talking about?

The pineapple bread is served at Ohana. I know it's there for breakfast, but I can't remember if it's the same bread at dinner. I had it in Poly concierge, and it is WONDERFUL!!!

Thanks Lori.
We have dinner booked at Ohana and I know there will be plenty to eat but I would love to get my hands on some of that delicious bread!!!!

I've never tried the bread there, but from the descriptions it sounds like what I know as Hawaiian Bread?

I have a recipe for it for the bread machine, if anyone wants to try and it and see if it's similar. It's not really cake-y, but is very nice.

Amberle3 - The Hawaiian Sweet Bread we get in our area is not really the same, if that's what you are referring to. Hawaiian Sweet Bread is still bread, with a sweet taste. The pineapple bread at 'Ohana is more like a cross between a pineapple quick-bread and regular Hawaiian bread, if you know what I mean?!! Really good!! I try not to fill up on it, but it's hard not to!!:sunny:

It IS at O'Hanas and it IS very good!!! It's worth having breakfat there just for the pineapple bread/muffin thingies!!!!
