Pin Trading

I've seen a lot of posts about pin trading, and wonder if it is something a 4 year old would enjoy. What do you experts think? Would DS be old enough to understand how it all works? What age are your kids that have fun with this?

Our little boy Felix ( will be 3 in september ) has been to WDW with us many times and on the last two trips ( september and may ) he started trading with CM .. He collects Toy Story pins .. or shall we say he is a toy story maniac.. Your son will learn to approach other people with respect ask nicely for a trade and will be rewarded with a beautiful pin ... it is a fun hobby for the whole family !!!
Make sure to have cheap trading pins at hand and not buy them at retail price .. good sources are ebay or you can PM me for information !!
A good start for your family will be to attend a pintrading information session at 1 o'clock at the Expo Hall in Magic Kingdom .. Scoop Sanderson the Main Street Reporter works his funny and informative magic every sunday to thursday ..

Hi! My four year old LOVED the pin trading. It is especially good for a little one who is getting bored or tired and has to walk to another location or wait for a bus. Searching for CMs with pins to trade makes the walking or waiting fly by! Get some cheap on e-bay before you go and explain the process to him. You'll be amazed at how much fun it is for all of you! By the end of our trip,DH and I each had a few pins too, we had to join the fun!

Thank you both so much for your replies. I had been back and forth in my mind, not being able to decide if he is just too young. I want him to have the greatest trip ever, I'm sure you understand!

I am going to ebay now to do some shopping.
