Pin trading at CBR?

DS, who is 8 and will be 9 at the time of our first trip, is interested in pin trading. We have been reading about it and trying to decide what pins to buy before we go. I read that some of the resorts have boards where kids can trade each day, but it didn't say which resorts. Does anyone know if CBR has pin trading?

The only WDW Resort to has a sanctioned Pin Trading event is the Contemporary and it takes place once a month on the 3rd Friday of that month. It usually happens in a ballroom in the convention center or it might happen in a ballroom on the 2nd floor of the Tower, like it did when I went to it in December. So to find out the exact location check the electronic information boards and it will say where it's taking place. Also they have a kids trading area only if they are between the ages of 6 - 14 years old, so this would be perfect for your kids. Anyway here are the upcoming Pin Trading nights to be held at the Contemporary.

Friday Febrary 15, 2008 - 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. - Disney's Contemporary Resort - Convention Center.

Friday March 14, 2008 - 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. - Disney's Contemporary Resort - Convention Center.

When I was there this past December they had a board with pins. It was located at a cash register area behind the concierqe desk at OPR. They were all cast member pins. I don't know if it's there all the time. You could trade from the board or choose one from a basket that was wrapped up.

The Pin Trading board they have at POR is not an official Pin Trading event, it's just the store deciding to do their own thing. At the Contemporary regular pin traders get together and trade their pins with other pin traders and as I mentioned before they have the kids trading area. Plus they also have displays of future pins to be released around WDW and for upcoming pin trading events like the one in May at the Animal Kingdom. Finally sometimes they come out with special releases pins during that time.
