Just received an email today with a PIN to get a special rate. First time I've received one.
$1284 US for certain dates for a family of 4 in a standard room (guessing this means value) plus free dining for 4 day 5 night package.
Other dates listed for $1388. All dates are October through December (before Christmas break).
Good deal?

I suggest speaking to a travel agent or calling WDW travel to see what the price is for the same offer. I'm always leery of "Great Deals" that come unsolicited.

Disney blasted said "PIN" over the last two weeks. If you go over to the Resort area, you'll see the pricing is standard rack rate with free dining. The thought is Disney was trying to fill up yet more rooms, so that was another way to attract customers.

I asked a CM to compare this new "PIN" to the one we are using on our already booked/paid reservation, and the new deal was going to cost us more thanks to the new ticket rates. I'd suggest running dates you are considering on the website using the free dining deal, then calling into the CRO to see if your PIN gets you any benefits.

I agree with PP. I got the free dining PIN a few months ago for the same date. Later on we got an email about a room discount. My TA ran the numbers and it is actually cheaper for us to take the room discount over the free dining. As my TA said when something is offered as free it sounds like a better deal, but that is not always the case.
