I often see pins refered to by number. If you have a pin, how do you know its number? Is it on the pin somewhere, and if so, where exactly. Or do you just have to look through pages and pages of pictures on pinpics to find a pin like yours to discover its number?

pages and pages on pinpics

you can also do a search on pinpics by typing in the character or something about the pin.

There are 3 ways to search for pins on Pin Pics.

--By Pin Number
--By Description (DVC, Mickey, Castle, Princess)
--By Browsing the entire data base

--Pin Number--First search page SIMPLE SEARCH-You would have to know the pin number to use that one

--Description--Second search page (scroll to the bottom of 1st Search page and hit continue) That will bring you to ADVANCED SEARCH. Here you want to be as specific as possible. If you are looking for a Peter Pan pin with just Wendy you should just put in Wendy.

--Data Base--From the Second search page Advanced Search leave the description field blank and click on BROWSE the entire data base will come up.

Hope that helps! :)

Hi!
I just read the story in CNN.com. You can read it yourself by putting ( dis ) in the stock quote box. Just the 3 letters"DIS", ignore the stock stuff and click on the story title about the Disney stores.

The stores in Japan were sold to Oriental Land Co. This is the same company that runs Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Sea. This is in Japan only.

The stores in the US and Europe could be sold. More will be closed.

Like all rumors there is some truth in them. The facts seem to be twisted somewhat in the original post.

Keep watching this story. It ain't over yet.

I for one would be very pleased if pins from Japan were sold in the Disney Stores here in the US. They have been getting our Disney Store pins in their stores over there. Frankly the whole pin business at the Disney Stores here has been a mess. Local shortages of some pins caused a lot of bad feelings.
Some of the hard to find pins showed up for $.62 later on sale. I know some folks paid a lot of money to complete their collections by buying the missing pins from 3rd parties. How would you feel if your investment is now worth $.62 a pin instead of what you paid for it after standing in line for 2 hours
every Sat. morning for weeks on end? Then the darn things are on every lanyard at DLR and WDW. I don't know about Paris but I suppose they are there too.
