Pin lanyard or book?

Hey there, hi there, ho there!
Just wondering, which do you preffer?
Lanyard or a Book (on a strap) and why?
I have a BIG book that kind of is like a brief case with many pages. It's full and weighs a TON. I'm trying to decide if I should start carrying my traders on a lanyard or in a strap book?
I usually use a lanyard, but by the first day end up putting it in my bag and losing backs. It's a hassle with a bag, lanyard and mickey ears when you're always riding rides. Ya know?

I would say a lanyard just bc hauling a book of pins can get tiring. Unless you have a lot of pins you want to trade, then I have no idea. But some ppl wear more than 1 lanyard, but I don't know if you'd wanna do that. I would just choose which pins I'd want to trade & stick them on the lanyard.
But for me, I'm too lazy to stick the pins I want to trade on a lanyard and I end up putting them in a bag. When I see a pin I want from a CM, I take out the bag and there's no worries of loosing a backing that way. But of course it's less creative.

I only wear pins on my lanyard that I want to trade (or won't freak out if they fall off). We've had many pins come loose & fall off (most disappear) our lanyards as the day goes on. I keep all my special pins in my "briefcase" back at the motel & change out pins any time we stop by the room. If you're a huge trader you might want to pick a time to bring all your pins, do the trading & then store the pins in a locker or take back to your room. The lanyards can get very heavy if you have lots of pins you want to trade off. I usually pick 4-6 & put on my lanyard, but never ones I would hate losing.

We all have lanyards with traders but DBF usually carries his book as well. His book will have sets we are trying to finish and traders, on different pages of course. The traders in the book are Hidden Mickey, LE's and anything we might think of as "special" pins.

I'm thinking of just putting them in a bag in a small compartment. I only have 4 or 5 or 6 or 7...

I just think it takes up too much weight to carry around the lanyard that I end up taking off anyways!
