I just called and spoke with a CM who reported that they can no longer look up pins for people by using their information - phone #, etc. Anyone know if this is true? I just wanted to see if I had any pins......
Granted that policies can change from one day to the next, but I found out about my 40% off pin by calling to check. I had called about once a week for a month when I found out about it. And it's only been a few weeks since I got it.
I think the vast majority of CMs are very helpful but I've spoken to a few that wanted to get me off the phone as quickly as possible. And we also have to allow for those that are helpful but maybe not as well informed as others.
I would try again. I reasoned that it would make me feel worse to cancel my trip or pay extra than it would to call and politely ask a question.
General DIS advise in situations like this is to say thank you, hang up and call back to talk to another CM. I had someone very helpful last night that told me I (well, my mom) had the PIN that wasn't even available yet!
